Earlier this year, the National Assembly amended several sections of the primary legal framework for conducting the 2027 general elections—the Electoral Act (2026). With the document now signed into law, it is expected that the upcoming elections will be free from the kinds of fraud that marred previous ones. As watchdogs who hold those in power accountable, journalists play a vital role in ensuring transparency throughout the electoral process. To strengthen this role, the Daily Trust Foundation and the International Press Centre (IPC) have partnered to host a webinar on journalists' responsibilities in implementing the amended Electoral Act 2026. The session will be both informative and empowering. To participate, please complete the registration form below: forms.gle/85PK7k4VNLxNLHCd7
