The Jedi Temple interior looking like it's partially made of oxidized brass is another thing that makes Huyang feel like an extension of that world.

It seemed like he was intended to be made of rusted brass in TCW to show his age. I guess he updated his plating since then. He looks more sleek in live action but as an introduction it doesn't get across visually how ancient of a droid he is so I'm mixed on it.
It's funny to me that Grievous replaced his original tactical droid TV-94 with TV-94B for the Battle of Kamino but then when he attacks Hondo's compound on Florrum the original TV-94 is rebuilt...

Brian's concept art for Ahsoka vs his SWU illustration inspired by TCW. He used some of the same elements for the belt, saber, mantle, and shoulder pads, just perspective adjusted and/or mirrored. The SWU art is closer to TCW.

Rereading Dark Times and still blown away by the attention to detail in Douglas Wheatley's artwork. Even noticed some unused Ep I & III alien concepts created by Terryl Whitlatch and Sang Jun Lee that he put in there.
