🎙️ | MATCH PREVIEW | EOSFL | EDINBURGH UNI (H) | Good afternoon Youngy, thanks for joining us. Good afternoon Graeme. - Looking back at last Saturday’s double matchday, how did you feel the occasion went overall, both on and off the pitch, and what did you take away from it? I thought the whole occasion went really well. On the park, it was great to be part of a double matchday and there was a real sense of occasion around the club. Obviously we didn’t get the result we wanted in the second game, which is disappointing, but I don’t think that should take away from what was a really positive day for the club as a whole. Off the park, you could see how much work had gone into making the day a success as well. For me, the biggest takeaway was the togetherness around the club. Players, staff and supporters all played their part, and it showed what The Dale is capable of when everyone pulls in the same direction. - There was plenty of media and press publicity surrounding the club last week. How pleasing is it to see The Dale getting that recognition, and how important is that exposure for the club moving forward? It’s brilliant to see the club getting that sort of recognition, and I think everyone connected with The Dale should be really proud of it. There’s a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes that people maybe don’t always see, so it’s great when the club gets that publicity and people start taking notice of what’s happening here. Hopefully that exposure brings more people through the gates, gets more people interested in the club and helps us continue to grow both on and off the park. From a coaching staff point of view, though, we know the best way to keep that attention and keep people talking positively about The Dale is by doing our job on the pitch and giving them something worth coming back to see. - After all the attention and excitement surrounding last weekend, has the focus this week been about getting everyone back down to business and fully concentrated on the next game? Yeah, definitely. We gave the boys Tuesday night off after their exploits on Saturday. I think they’d earned that one! It gave everyone a chance to recover and enjoy what had been a really good weekend for the club. But it’s back to business now. The attention turns to Saturday and making sure we’re fully focused and ready for Edinburgh University, in what will be a very tough game. - Looking ahead to Saturday’s game against Edinburgh University, what sort of challenge are you expecting this time and what will be key to coming away with all three points? We’re expecting a tough game. There are no easy games in this league and we know Edinburgh Uni will come and have a go, so we’ll need to be switched on from the start. But for us, it’s about focusing on ourselves and what we do well. We need to work hard, play with the right intensity and keep our standards high. We’re confident in what we can do, but we know we’ve still got to go out there and earn the three points. 1/2

- How’s the squad looking coming into this weekend, and what would you say to the supporters ahead of another important game for The Dale ? The boys are looking good. Last weekend obviously took a fair bit out of them, but they’ve had time to recover and everyone’s ready to go again. Squad-wise, we’re looking pretty similar to last weekend. Hopefully we’ll see Ben Stewart starting some light training this week, while Ben Woloszyn and Jonny Devers are both still a couple of weeks away. There’s a really good feeling about the place at the moment, so it’s just about keeping that going. And to the supporters, just a massive thank you from all of us. The backing you gave the boys in both games last weekend was incredible. Hopefully we can get another good crowd along on Saturday. Keep making plenty of noise and getting behind the boys because it genuinely makes a difference, and hopefully we can reward you with another three points. Thanks Young, Good Luck Tomorrow Cheers Graeme 🤝🏼 2/2

➡️ | NEXT UP This weekend, after having six days to recover from our double matchday, we’re back at The Volley as we welcome @EdinburghUniAFC. The Dale came out on the wrong end of a 3-1 scoreline in the previous fixture on Matchday 2 of the season. This weekend is an opportunity to make amends. We hope you can join us once again, and provided that incredible support that was on display on Saturday, and the support you have have already shown throughout the first few months of the season. 👏🏼 | BOYD PRENTICE Congratulations to Boyd Prentice who made his senior debut on Saturday. The 17 year old replaced Jason Gregory in the 83rd minute in our 4-0 victory over Dundonald Bluebell. It shows the pathway and opportunity to go from Development Squad to First Team is there, with more lads coming through the system every season. It’s a credit to Ritchie and his background team that these boys are making their debuts at such a young age. Congrats Boyd 👏🏼
