Our 1st preparatory session with youth in 🇪🇨 kicked off our regional initiative to strengthen their participation in peace & security mechanisms. We are excited to build on this & thank our partners Quitu Raymi & Tierra de la Humanidad for their collaboration in Ecuador.

Last week, the Latin American Centre of Excellence team met virtually with a magistrate from Colombia’s Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP), advancing the Dallaire Institute’s work to strengthen the participation of children & young people in peace and security mechanisms.

This month, The Dallaire Institute’s LACOE delivered its first Training of Trainers in 🇪🇨, in partnership with UEMPE. The ToT strengthens the security sector’s capacity to prevent the recruitment and use of children and supports sustainable delivery of this training in Ecuador.
