Scotty Pippen Jr. called Ty Jerome one of the best 3-level scorers he’s ever played with. Jaylen Wells and Kris Murray felt vindicated watching Jerome score 45 points. Ty Jerome took the NBA by storm, but this was regular business to his teammates. ✍🏽: commercialappeal.com/story/s…

Tuomas Iisalo in part talking about his team in the season opener: “We wanted to make a good impression. We’re not only fighting for wins, but we’re also fighting to win over our own fans and prove to them that this is a team worth cheering for and worth rooting for.”

That’s how you open the season. Ty Jerome put up 45 points, and the Grizzlies are 1-0. commercialappeal.com/story/s…

Ty Jerome gets MVP chants as he reaches 45 points, setting a new Grizzlies record for most point scored in a season-opener. He surpasses Ja Morant’s 44-point performance in 2020.

Ty Jerome has the second 40-point game in Grizzlies history in a season-opener. Jerome is up to 43 points. The Grizzlies record was set by Ja Morant in 2020 (44 points). commercialappeal.com/story/s…

Ty Jerome is cooking like grandma on a Sunday. He just pulled up from the Southland Casino and knocked down a 3-pointer. Zach Randolph and Tony Allen are on their feet courtside. This man is putting on a SHOW. Up to 41 points. Wow..

That quote is aging well I’d say

Gotta give Tuomas Iisalo some credit in this one. This performance so far looks exactly like the vision he often talks about. The ball is humming, the Grizzlies are hitting bodies, playing physical and getting out in transition. (And they have Ty Jerome)

Jaylen Wells just put on a defensive clinic. This crowd is loud. Grizzlies up 20 midway through the third

Halftime: Grizzlies 64, Jazz 51 A lot to like. Ty Jerome has 19 points and four assists. Jerami Grant has 13 points off the bench. Cam Boozer has four points and five boards.

This team is hooping. Lots of good stuff being put on film

Those Jerome-Boozer-Edey net rating numbers are probably going to be pretty good huh

The scoring has been bad since Ty Jerome went to the bench. Memphis is shooting 7 of 19. He is 4-5 on his own. He’s about to check in with 1:37 left in the second quarter. Memphis trails 25-19

Scotty Pippen Jr., Cam Spencer and Jerami Grant are the first subs this season.

Let’s see how many times I type this over the course of the season…. Ty Jerome: certified bucket-getter

I missed this!!! 🏀 Let’s go!

Will Hardy said his biggest concern is rebounding (an area that could be a strength for Memphis). Tuomas Iisalo talked about how Utah has some skilled bigs that will present a challenge for most teams. Those strengths and how either team neutralizes the other will be crucial.
