You should count your blessings to have such a quality coach with the attention to details.
How about adding some context and comparisons.
There are lots of coaches who have/had similar numbers as this. Go back and do the same for other coaches.
You’d have to look at the teams he’s coached and look at what he was working with as a roster. Maybe they were young and rebuilding? Maybe they were past their prime? Where did they finish in the regular season… Were they even contenders? Not to mention, let’s assume Hynes is learning what it takes to win a Cup every season. Let’s also assume Bill Guerin definitely understands how to do it.
If he doesn’t think Hynes can get it done, he’ll fire him.
Barry Trotz coached 19 seasons before winning a Cup. Paul Maurice 24.
Winning a Cup is a process and a recipe. It takes time and good fortune (limited injuries, the opponent to make mistakes, for instance).
Further, the players need to learn how to win a cup as well. When we won the Cup in NJ, we lost the year before in the ECF in double OT. But we gained the experience and understanding to get it done the next season.
Maybe the Wild (and Hynes) are a year or two away. 🤷♂️
Have done that b4 , not fun

@MapleLeafs So this is my dad in hospital. Fell and broke some ribs. He will get better. Fave player is Marner - told him how he fell short of 100 points. He said “Cuz I’m 99! Next year he’ll get 100 - we celebrate together!”

Blummer is the best, he has helped many others.
John Blum is my biggest supporter through sobriety. We played hockey together at Notre Dame High School. He went on to play in the @nhl - we are now defense partners every week in pickup hockey. Every morning he texts me a positive message about sobriety. Thank you, Blummer.

So True
I may not be a father yet but this is great advice for when that time comes and for those who are. Looking back at my childhood, grateful that this rings true. #Message #MoreThanTheGame
Really? Bush league
Barring any changes, I’m told @NHLFlyers D Yandle’s @NHL record Ironman streak of 989 consecutive games played will end tonight. Only 11 games from 1000, with Flyers out of playoff picture this is an odd decision to sit the highly respected veteran. #HockeyTwitter
So sad. Iconic building
One of my favorite pics. My son, @Buccigross_22 teeing off in front of Oakland Hills clubhouse outside Detroit…A massive piece of American Golf history destroyed by fire. The priceless artifacts inside meticulously displayed with love of history & golf now ashes. Irreplaceable.
