It has won a design award from the Guildford Society, and today the award was unveiled. It’s great to see a #CommunityRail project being recognised and appreciated by its local community!

We’re delighted to award a grant to @HampshireCRP for their restoration of #WoolstonStationSignalBox to a value of £27,900. Derelict since the 1990s, so let’s hope it looks like this again sometime soon (pic 3). @SW_Help @CommunityRail

Just changed trains at Gatwick Airport so took the chance to visit @SoutheastCRP’s new station history display. A tour-de-force by CRP line group member and local historian Bruce Healey, it is easily the biggest and surely one of the best I’ve seen. #CommunityRail
Busy out on the patch today catching up with @CommunityRail members. Being work shadowed by my colleague Patrick today; here we are Tolworth checking in with @communitybrain’s Himali (we missed you @LordScroley! But Himali held the fort admirably as you’d expect.)
We earlier admired the work of Elmstead Woods Gardening Project and their recently completed Station history room which is all kinds of fab (@communityrail was delighted to support works to make good the floor). Here are leads Sally and Ed with their latest station sculpture.
And later we saw these beautifully restored William Blake-inspired mosaics recently installed at @SW_Help’s Surbiton station, which our members Friends of Surbiton Station partnered with several others to deliver (more details here: rhacc.ac.uk/mosaic-william-b…).

Great to see Brading’s tea room and museum! They run a neat little #CommunityStation there in what would otherwise be disused space at the station. It’s what we love to see! @CommunityRail
The @SW_Help trip to Isle of Wight to present a @HRA_UK award from @railexpress was so much fun. Visited Ryde depot, Ryde signalbox, Brading station and signalbox and a trip to the bridge of the ferry.
Ah! I didn’t know Graham’s handle but now I do, I want to make sure the artist gets their due credit. So - @Shade2_UK this is brilliant! I was so pleased to see it in person.
I’m out seeing Kent CRP today. But before I get there I’ve grabbed my chance to see one of the best new #CommunityRail murals of 2022. It’s remote (one train per hour at a station in the middle of nowhere) but this is the fabulous @KentCRP1 @SheppeyCollege artwork at Swale.
