Spencer's problem, along with ALL OF MICROSOFT, is that they have been far too nice to developers for far too long. They took the criticism that they were "The Man" to heart, and let the creatives run wild with unlimited money. They followed your advice:

The problems will come when the vibe coded "slop" appears to have more sauce, grit & an understanding of the audience then the hundreds of developers and sensitivity consultants can manage on a multiple-hundred-million dollar budget.

The last thing Jensen Huang sees before he agrees to sell $2B worth of blackwells to China.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang was caught having a relationship with a Chinese spy, Alice Huang.
The House Republican committee chairs have asked the CEO to brief Congress about the exact "nature" of this relationship. Alice is a Chinese citizen and an executive at a Singapore data center company.
NVIDIA denies these allegations and maintains that it was all "routine business". People are posting that 'evergreen' meme of "the last thing you see before leaking state secrets" as a response to the news... AI is pretty much the nuclear arms race of the 21st century, so these kinds of espionage is probably gonna get more common.
The US counterintelligence agents used electronic surveillance to track Alice and unmasked the CEO's identity... Also, I have questions.
Which one is the real image of "Alice," the Chinese spy? Seems like anyone involved in high tech needs to be careful of these asian women...

1984 understood that Dune is about grotesque, decadent aristocrats cosplaying as gods across 20,000 years of space feudalism.
Villeneuve made a technically flawless movie, but he stripped out all the baroque madness and replaced it with an Apple Store aesthetic, gray brutalist concrete, and characters whispering in muted earth tones

If you want young men to celebrate virtue, then you’ve got to give them stories of virtuous male heroes that “outmog” these guys.

Camille Paglia said she thought of Revenge of the Sith as “the most ambitious, significant, and emotionally compelling work of art” of its time.
Now memetic culture has done something truly extraordinary and made Star Wars relevant again through the reversal of the moral interpretation of Anakin.
Star Wars is already dead as a franchise, and it is amazing to think that its only path back to relevance might be to embrace a point of view morally opposed to that of the original films, yet astonishingly relevant to the core themes of their stories.

The collapse of Reddit will be studied.
After reporting earnings, its stock collapsed 30% in a single day.
It's down 44% in 2 weeks.
But the most important detail is what was revealed in that earnings call.
The CEO said AI is killing Google search.
People no longer get sent to Reddit from Google. They merely get their answers from the AI Mode itself.
Even Google confirmed this themselves with their disastrous results - AI mode is cannibalising their search business.
Pretty soon, no one will visit Reddit voluntarily. Its traffic will continue to crater.
The worst part?
Reddit isn't alone. There are millions of companies and publishers that rely on search traffic.
That's what happens when you rely on a single funnel for discovery.

As a former climate activist who played a part in pushing plastic straw bans, I’m so sorry!
A new study from South Korea found that plastic straws are overall better for the environment than paper straws. So the soggy straws and all the head aches were for nothing.
