On the first trip of the new ambulance dedicated to the memory of his son Dor, of blessed memory, who was murdered on October 7 in Be’eri, Magen David Adom (MDA) senior EMT Tzvi Rieder delivered a baby for a woman who had gone into labor. Eight days later, on the eve of Simchat Torah, Tzvi attended the baby’s brit milah (circumcision ceremony). On the morning of October 7, Tzvi went out to save lives, providing medical treatment under fire and evacuating dozens of wounded people. During the day, he learned that his son Dor and Dor’s partner, Techelet Fishbein, of blessed memory, had been murdered in Be’eri. Recently, two ambulances were dedicated at Kibbutz Sa’ad in Dor’s memory, one of them armored against gunfire. At the dedication ceremony, Tzvi said: “We pray that we will merit to transport mainly happy and excited expectant mothers in these ambulances.” A short time later, his prayer was answered. On the very first trip of the new ambulance, Tzvi was dispatched to a woman in labor near Kibbutz Be’eri. Together with his neighbor Hila Barbich, a professional midwife, he prepared to deliver the baby inside the ambulance after they realized they would not make it to the hospital in time. Thankfully, a healthy baby boy was born, and the mother and her son were transported to the hospital. Eight days later, Tzvi attended the baby’s brit milah, where the child was given the name Mevaser Tov, meaning “Bearer of Good News.” “Our baby brought good news to Tzvika. He brought good news on a road that saw so much bloodshed on October 7, and he brought good news to us,” said Penina, the baby’s mother. An emotional Tzvi reflected: “The ambulance dedicated to Dor’s memory helped bring life into the world, and on its very first call.” At MDA, the mission of saving lives continues at all times and in all places, while honoring the memory of those who have fallen through the ongoing work of preserving life.

Monday morning, Shmuley Boteach's lawyer filed a doctor's note in federal court in Miami. It asks that he be excused from "strenuous physical, psychological, and emotional exertion" for all of November, including "court related activities if possible." (S.D. Fla. 1:25-cv-20251, ECF 297)

His deposition is set for Nov 4 by Zoom, which is three hours from his chair. A national TV hit by video from the same chair apparently isn't a problem.

Whether the court accepts the note is up to the judge. But the public record now shows a man too strained for court in November, and well enough for television in October.

Just got out of the Alexander Brothers sentencing for “sex trafficking” (🙄) What an abomination. The judge is a total psycho -- made a random gratuitous reference to Cornell gang rape right before she threw the book at them (30 years) Then she sarcastically said “Mazel Tov”

Judge Caproni: I order each defendant to pay a $50,000 fine for each count of conviction. Oren, $300,000. Alon, $300,000. And Tal, $350,000. What about the devices? Teny Gerargos: We are looking at what we got last night.

Judge Caproni: Tal Alexander, I sentence you to 30 years. When you come out, you are subject to the search condition, including of all devices that access the Internet [What will *that* look like in 30 years, or 25 or so years?]

Judge Caproni: Mr. Agnifilo talked about hope. Well, I hope that they reflect on what they did leads them to be deeply ashamed of themselves. But a life sentence is draconian. I have only imposed them then it has been legally required.

Judge Caproni: They are a little bit younger than me, and they are better positioned than most to deal with this. They are collateral damage. The children will learn that their closest male relatives raped and trafficked a large number of women

Judge Caproni: We read about cases all the time, because they are NOT normative. The rape in Cornell, if that's what it is? Not normative. The letters urge me to think about the defendants' parents, who will have three of their four children in prison

Judge Caproni: It wasn't enough to rape them, the defendants had to humiliate them. Did being married change that? I don't think so. One of the defendant's supporters wrote, they are not monsters, they are normative. But it was not.

Judge Caproni: Raniere, yes, that case is distinguishable, I agree with the defense on that. But you did not have to speak today, and say you never drugged or raped. But you did it - and I think you lied. You are lying to your parents. You trivialized your conduct

I didn’t have “Mazel tov” on the bingo card.
Replying to @innercitypress
Judge Caproni: I view them like Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. To some, they were very polite. Others describe sadistic sexual predators. I've considered it all. This was undoubtedly a very serious crime. Liars can pass lie detectors. Mazel tov you passed it. But

Judge Caproni: Caring for your mother when she was ill, it's not a get-out-of-jail-free card. Mister Alexanders, similar defendants who commit similar crimes should get similar sentences. It's not easy. How does should a serial rapist serve?

Judge Caproni: I heard what I heard. Alon was 30 years old and bragged about bagging a 17 year old. You drugged and raped her. Your brother raped an 18 year old, and invited another to participate in a three way. It was shameful and degenerate

Judge Caproni: Thank you. I have required to consider your backgrounds. Alon went to law school; Tal and Oren went into real estate. I got letters, but not from former girlfriends, or even old friends. No one is required to write me. I'm just noting it.
