Analysis of #Millwall transfer window. Overall thoughts are squad looks stronger albeit now maybe lacking in wide attacking areas (that opinion hasn't changed post-Wrexham). Azeez fee feels skinny + a chaotic deadline day but more pros than cons overall:

Few #Millwall thoughts following Pompey game. Another less than stellar day + very few emerge with credit. Not many players hitting the heights of last season but perhaps the bigger concern is how nobody seems to be filling that Femi Azeez talisman role:

Exclusive interview with West Brom's Jimmy-Jay Morgan. 20yo striker is EFL YPOTM for August after blistering start to life in the Championship for #WBA. Morgan says last summer he had no options on the table on deadline day. Plenty has changed since then.

Far more pros than cons for #Millwall despite exit from the League Cup vs Newcastle. Certainly didn't feel like a loss at the end. The last few days have well and truly cured that Southampton-Wrexham hangover. A bit lighter than usual but some thoughts:

Proper effort that. Caleb Taylor and Jake Cooper both immense in that first half when we were really up against it + we improved a lot after the break. But that was some outing for Jordi Osei-Tutu, who is already looking like a very shrewd bit of business. Was class. #Millwall

💫 At 15 years, nine months and 28 days, young Regan Anderson is amongst the Lions' substitutes this evening!
Thoughts on a fine afternoon for Lyndon Dykes + #Millwall v Bolton. Think majority of question marks over signing him now gone. Obviously early days but even feels like could become a bit of a cult hero here. In the end, game was a story of unlikely heroes

Speak a couple of times in the piece about some of the things discussed in my review of #Millwall summer transfer window. One final plug for that too given it feels particularly relevant after some of our newer faces played big roles on Saturday:

Dykes showed today exactly why they wanted him. Other options not available and someone to come in and play a similar way. Effectively.
Will it work every time? No.
But I think we can see he’s as grafter and won’t stop running.
Proved essential today in the absence of Josh and Miha.
Lyndon Dykes build the statue
Lots of debate around the Lyndon Dykes signing. I get both sides but reality is #Millwall needed to bolster the squad this summer, not just the starting XI. Not every signing can be first-choice and ultra sexy. Think I can see why Dykes has been added:
