On reflection, the #PrisontoParliament event gives hope for the future of a criminal justice system that is broken. With the sharing of lived experience and the overcoming of adversity, change will happen. Like everything in life, it won't be overnight, but it will come. #Hope
We are so pleased to have a discussion with MPs at the 'From Prison to Parliament' event in Edinburgh Parliament about our book The Good Prison Officer. A small pebble can cause big waves! #InsidePerspectives 👌🏼

A truly disgusting article (terribly written too).
Well done to both @HMPAskham and @McDonaldsUK
DISGRACEFUL @MailOnline
Employment massively reduces reoffending and is best for all of society. ROTL also helps successful integration.

My piece for the PQ available now…
“what is often missing in the story told about individual recovery…is the social one. Recovery and desistance are social processes.”

Just to be clear - the awful situation at Cookham Wood we report on today was not about funding - there were more than 360 staff and 24 senior managers for just 77 boys. It was a failure to provide for this group of challenging and vulnerable boys.

Totally agree. This shows real courage from everyone involved.
Having this book in Prisons is the way forward.
Using these perspectives in the training of new and old officers should be as standard.
Let's try something different as the other stuff isn't working.

Today marks 3 years since Dylan Martinez took the picture that changed my life. I hope I showed that true strength lies in lifting up others, even in the face of adversity. Together we move forward as we strive for a brighter, more inclusive future.
