Well, the time has come, @SummRidge 's boy is turning 15! Alex is getting his permit to drive and even though Brian and myself are TOTALLY comfortable teaching him to drive we decided that Rascal should do the honors!
Just touched base with Rascal and he muttered something about feeling safer in France and I told him him to stop being scaredy trash panda and to be a good friend. Got him in line now.
Evidently Alex needed a new hunting rifle so I reckon they are headed to Knoxville to shop a bit!
On theme for this week's fun is a Browning AB3 rifle chambered in .30-06!
Y'all know what we like but be sure and wish Alex, who this post should be a surprise to, a big hearty wholesome happy birthday!

The good Doctor here reminds me of someone else...

That said, I tried to find a less intense angle of the events that unfolded but Rascal's bodycam was the only remaining functioning camera at his street position that night.
The broader story is as old as time. Western self loathing and misunderstanding of its place and noblesse oblige stirred up in the same communistic cauldron as envy and third world avarice. The more narrow story of how and why Rascal was in France and how he managed to let any of those thugs bloody him up in the first place will have to be a story for another time.
RASCAL IS FINE. Our people were able to get to him before he was overwhelmed. He claims he had things under control but he also does not seem to stoked that I have video that argues otherwise. He is stable and even making jokes with the nurses on site at a location that will remain undisclosed.
He did say this: "Hey JD, givem' the new CZ Duty 4.0 F 9mm, it sure did the job and I really had not even had that much time behind it before things got spicy. Oh, and make sure to tell @SummRidge thanks, as always."
"What are you doing in France, and when did you even leave?!" I asked, mildly frustrated.
"Oh, sorry ol boy, that's Geneviève after me, says I need a fresh wrap, gotta go!" He said and quickly hung up.

*sidenote: Yes I notice that Rascal must have some unique model not available to the regular creature. It would appear to have some mechanism or feature uncommon to semi auto pistols that Rascal actuates prior to firing and it seems the pistol can also shoot off center if that is, in fact, where the assailant is, go figure *🤷♂️

Just when Rascal thought he had made it back from the jungle he gets assigned this raid. I suppose they call it the "concrete jungle" in D.C. but this bungalow was way too on theme. Between the "brotherly love" and the bananas and rice the poor animal is fed up with this crime scene.
Word is they are gonna have to go back in so Rascal wants you to take this rifle. The Springfield Armory Saint Victor should hold up well in this mushy ricey environment and you will have some of Ziggy's gun grease to help keep it running. On top of that Weaporize is letting you choose what works best for your loadout, B_1Tactical is going to make sure you have a camo patterned holster perfect for the occasion and Textacdesigns won't leave you without a blade and some sweet swag!

It's that time of the week... Monday finds @TheRascallion in the jungle with @SalamanderSling pulling patrol duty. Enter the drawing to support @harveyspistols with thanks to @SummRidge and @VitalGunStuff
It is finally starting to cool off here at home, and yet, I go looking for Rascal and soon after receive a communique that he is in the heat of "The Jungle".
What does this mean? How would I know? It could be anything with this animal.
All I could make out was, "Hey, I hate to cut it short but their closing in and while the drones are not as effective in this heavy canopy these barefoot bums can sure be a nasty fight on the ground. Sal is ready and the fuses are set, gotta go light'em up boss! Hey! *Radio Crackle* take the FN, it's ready to go and hot to trot!"
Before I can get out the second half of "WTH?" I hear rifle reports and he hangs up.
Well, all I can figure is he has gotten himself neck deep in jungle trouble with his buddy Sal. Rascal has been in worse scrapes before. He'll make it back, for sure.

Bus crash scene - remains of the front end - the Silver Jeep that ended up head on into the bus burned at the scene...
37 students were on board the bus along with the bus driver and her daughter.
A 10th grader student died.
The other fatality in the accident was in a Silver Jeep that was struck head-on by the bus after the initial crash with a Chevy Malibu...

The Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash on Lucerne Park Road (State Road 544), west of Jacaranda Avenue (Brookhaven Village community) on the northeast side of Winter Haven.
This crash involves a school bus.
Lucerne Park Road is closed in both directions.
The crash occurred at about 6:13 am.
Any media responding to the scene is asked to come from US 27 and go west on Lucerne Park Road. The crash scene is approximately 1.5 miles west of US 27.

Florida Sheriff's Deputy shoots man with a knife

Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a deputy-involved shooting that occurred in the Little Rd. area of Hudson that resulted in the death of an adult man. On October 2, around noon, PSO deputies received reports of an agitated subject outside of a business. Upon arrival, the business asked law enforcement to trespass the subject from the property. Deputies approached the subject, where he was observed carrying a knife in-hand. Deputies attempted verbal contact, and after several failed attempts at verbal deescalation, the subject confronted deputies with the knife in-hand, and deputies shot the subject. The subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. There is no public safety threat. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
As per PSO’s standard protocol, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement will investigate the deputy-involved shooting. There is no public safety threat.
