There's so much interesting stuff in Stoker's novel. So many layers. There's a class thing. Dracula is the old landed aristocracy - decadent but seductive and indifferent to middle-class morality. Dracula's enemies are the new aristocracy of money and middle-class respectability.
There's the Old Knowledge vs the New Technocratic Knowledge.
And Dracula is a threat because he undermines middle-class respectability. He offers forbidden pleasures. He does not hunt Lucy and Mina. It is a seduction.
