Fanduel getting greedy man
Fanduel used to have the perfect UI a year ago
Now, when you type in the bet amount for a parlay, you canāt even see the amount or the payout. One of many examples where product managers trying to be useful and push out āupdatesā have made the UI noticeably worse, and itās really a shame because the UI was just about perfect last year

There are strong bicameral discussions on this issue and Chairman Smith and @RepHorsford have advanced a thoughtful proposal. I am especially pleased that it includes our legislation to fix the gaming losses tax that has harmed Nevada.
Certainty for taxpayers with digital assets is an important issue, and I look forward to working with my colleagues in the Finance Committee on bipartisan solutions.
I commend Senator @SteveDaines for introducing the Aligning Digital Assets with Principles of Taxation Act.
This bill has much in common with the Digital Asset Tax Certainty Act, which passed out of the Ways and Means Committee on a strong bipartisan vote. There is also clear momentum building to deliver tax certainty to digital asset owners and ensure America remains the crypto capital of the world.
A source views this as a snide remark by a retiring Senator (her term ends in January) who is upset over her pet project (the CLARITY Act) failing just recently. Also worth noting sheās not on the committee negotiating the deal between the House and the Senate. Doesnāt mean itāll be easy to get this done, but worth noting
Never good to hear this (since this is the best vehicle right now for our phantom gambling income tax fix), but itās unsurprising Sen. Lummis (R-WY) is bearish about any crypto legislation after her separate crypto bill (the CLARITY Act) dropped dead last month despite years of negotiations and concessions. Wouldāve been surprised if she was optimistic

Cryptoās top congressional ally is bearish on the odds of a tax bill for digital assets passing this year, underscoring the bleak reality facing this top industry priority.

Replying to @DataBasedBets @SteveDaines
The crypto bill is the right vehicle because its revenue raisers cover the cost of repealing the cap. The Senate text leaving it out means it has to be won in negotiation, not that it's dead. The final text needs Title VII, effective for 2026.
Plain language summary of where weāre at:
- A House Committee already passed a digital assets taxation bill 38-5, which includes a fix to the phantom gambling income tax
- The entire House and Senate must both pass a single version of this bill before it goes to the President to sign into law
- Itās good we have confirmed the Senate is working on this issue with time being so limited
- Itās bad that the Senate is working on their own language which creates a chance that the FULL HOUSE Act gets left out of the final bill
- The House and Senate are out of session all of October, this bill will have to get done between between Election Day and Christmas to get done in time
Senate cosponsors of the FULL HOUSE Act - letās make sure this provision is included in the final bill! The House included it in HR 10357 which passed out of committee 38-5, donāt let it slip out of the Senate / final version! @SenCortezMasto @SenJackyRosen @SenTedCruz @SenatorHagerty @SenBillCassidy @SenHydeSmith @Sen_Alsobrooks @SenatorSlotkin @SenGaryPeters
And @RepJasonSmith letās make sure the House doesnāt let this provision drop!
Some mixed news here in the effort to repeal the 90% cap on gambling loss deductions:
Itās good to hear that @SteveDaines and Senate tax writing committees are looking at passing a digital assets tax bill before the end of the 119th Congress.
However, this Senate bill doesnāt appear to include @RepHorsford ās common sense FULL HOUSE Act to ensure no tax on phantom gambling income, so letās make sure the final version that committees agree upon includes the popular and common sense FULL HOUSE Act!
