We were delighted here @Durham_Classics to nominate @edithmayhall for an Honorary Degree, and even more that she was back in the Dept. by the time that it was awarded. She's a true public intellectual, who shows why Classics still matters, and isn't just for toffs.
Congratulations to Professor Edith Hall, who we welcome back to Durham to re-join @durhamclassics. 🙌
The first of this year’s Honorary graduates, Prof Hall has been awarded an Honorary Degree to become a Doctor of Letters in recognition of her achievements 💜 #DUcongregation
