"NBC quickly agreed to give him the green light — IF Johnson would make the miniseries about aliens instead of authoritarians.
He was heartsick, but forged on. Maybe the sci-fi element could make it a more palatable allegory about fascism and freedom... The result was #V."

My predecessor’s tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy added $2 trillion to America’s debt.
Now, House Republicans are using the risk of default to hold our economy hostage and to get handouts for the rich.
It's clear who they’re prioritizing.

As someone with very bad ADHD symptoms it’s hard to sympathise with the moral panic around stimulants.
I know they’re super addictive to those without ADHD, but to me they’re the equivalent of caffeine Tik Tacs that only sometimes work on the days my hormones are balanced

Remember the American dream?
The vast majority of immigrants processed through Ellis Island were treated courteously and respectfully, free to begin their new lives in America after only a FEW SHORT HOURS on Ellis Island.
FACT: Only two percent of arriving immigrants were excluded from entry into the United States.
Why is it descendants of immigrants processed through Ellis Island refuse to give the same chance to families today?
Don’t forget our history and why we’re all Americans in the first place.

🚨🚨🚨BREAKING: Fox News has just been pounded by a brand NEW defamation suit filed by a former government official.
Former Homeland Security official Nina Jankowicz says she was demonized on-air and as a result, hit with rape and death threats.
The best part? She’s being represented the same lawyers who represented Dominion. Fox is probably not thrilled to see their names on a new defamation complaint!
Jankowicz says it got so bad after Fox spewed lies about her that her life was deeply harmed. Aside from the fear to her safety, she also lost career prospects.
Jankowicz was chosen to be the executive director of a short-lived Department of Homeland Security division that attempted to monitor and address disinformation threats to national security. Right-wing pundits and politicians falsely portrayed her group as a conspiracy to control the speech and thoughts of Americans.
In 300 mentions over eight months on Fox last year, she was repeatedly demeaned and defamed in highly personal language, the lawsuit asserts. Hosts including Tucker Carlson, Maria Bartiromo and Sean Hannity said her job was “to silence anyone who criticizes the Biden administration.”
In reality the unit had no such powers to affect speech.
Jankowicz resigned to escape the threats. Fox hosts and guests said she was fired.
I'm glad she's doing this, and I hope she WINS! 💙
