This year has already been a whirlwind. Have traveled every week except one for speaking engagements.
Happily settled now in our new home in Texas!
My favorite rooms are the library and wine cellar. In a strange way, the two go together quite well.
A great book and fine wine are complimentary.

If you've done your job, then it's highly likely by the time you ask, "how much longer do I give this underperformer to get the job done?" you've already waited too long. You're never likely to finally dismiss a non-performer then say, "I wish I'd have kept him another sixty days".
After 3 days teaching strategic planning in NY last week, now headed to BWI for 2 days of strategy sessions with 100 leaders and a heavy focus on consistent execution.
And….American Airlines has been super consistent in ‘26. This is the 26th delayed flight out of 35 thus far. lol.

As of tonight, there are 105 days left in this year and I will have the privilege to speak to 60 groups, booked thus far, during that time.
Momentum is easier to steer than to restart. It takes five times the effort to get going again after you’ve stopped going. Keep going.
Two critical success factors are competence & warmth. You need both. If you’re competent, but not warm people don’t trust you.
If you’re warm, but not competent people think you’re nice but clueless.
They are supplements, not substitutes, for the other. Both can be developed.
When your Success starts to lose its
Humility and you see yourself as THE reason for it rather than a conduit TO it, you see it come out in these ways.
1. You don’t want ADVICE. You want AFFIRMATION.
2. You don’t care about what people THINK. You care about what people SAY.

Be a low maintenance person. Don't always have to be right, have the last word or put others in their place. Focus on what you can control and run your own race. Don't make it your duty to update others daily on your personal problems, trauma and drama.
You won't discover how far you can go by stopping when you feel you've gone far enough. What you feel like doing and are capable of doing is night and day different.
The operation at a high profile Hollywood hotel that evening was impeccable; 17 arrest made. That was one hotel, in one city, on one night. The problem is epidemic.
