The point that a lot of people miss about online conversations: Conversations here do not aim to ENACT a new way of living. It's just different people coughing out their idiosyncrasies. And you will do well to ask questions that unearth their biases than attacking anyone.

Saw a version of this post that made me look for it on here. Scarcity changes form and it’s never going away, in this world.
Scarcity dictates what’s meaningful. ㅤ When you are alone, a relationship feels meaningful. When you’re in a relationship, time to yourself feels meaningful. ㅤ When you are overworked, time off feels meaningful. When you have plenty of downtime, work feels meaningful. ㅤ The scarcity never gets solved, it simply changes form.

I hope and pray that in my daily interactions, my default remains to always extend grace to others.

Given all that we can do on the phone now, all thanks to AI, the phone now delivers even more value and its use is set to astronomically increase. I am aware there are attempts to reimagine the phone, i.e., what we do with the phone, until a sticky innovation is engineered, phone rules.

“…such that, in a sense, you could say that God sees Adam or Jesus, Abel or Jesus, Moses or Jesus.” Adam or Jesus: Adam being the first man, and Jesus Christ the second man. Hence the declaration, “Ye must be born again.” For all who are born of Adam are born into corruption, but all who are born again by the Spirit are born into newness of life, having received the incorruptible life of Christ. Abel or Jesus: Abel’s blood cries out for vengeance, but the blood of Jesus speaks of better things. Those who approach the throne of grace must come on the basis of the blood of Jesus Christ—the blood that offers salvation, pleads for mercy, and cries, “Father, forgive them.” Where Abel’s blood cries for judgment, Christ’s blood speaks forgiveness and reconciliation. Moses or Jesus: The law of Moses brings the knowledge of sin and condemns the transgressor, for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. Yet the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus sets man free from the law of sin and death. It is no longer merely a law written upon tablets of stone, but the law of God written upon the heart, through the indwelling Spirit, bringing forth life everlasting. Thus, in Adam there is corruption, but in Christ, incorruptible life. In Abel, blood cries for vengeance, but in Christ, blood speaks mercy. In Moses, the law exposes sin and brings condemnation, but in Christ, the Spirit brings righteousness, liberty, and eternal life.

In Normal Christian Life, Watchman Nee described an experience relevant to this topic that has stayed with me since I last read it. He’d visited a couple and led them to Jesus. He left them with the Bible but they couldn’t read it. Yet, on a particular matter, excessive drinking, they got convicted in the heart and not only did they give up excessive drinking but put drinking altogether aside. “Brother Nee,” he said, “Resident Boss wouldn't let me have that drink!” “Very good, brother,” I said. “You always listen to Resident Boss!” The Resident Boss has the law written in our hearts, so even when we can’t read the Bible, have no knowledge of what the Bible says about a thing, or the Bible says nothing about a thing, we are still oriented to please God.
The more you practice Christianity, the more you appreciate the importance of why the law has to be planted in your heart and not just anywhere else. The law in your heart is simply something in you that is pushing you to become more like Jesus. This is in contrast to you reading the law and then wanting to obey it. I think this again as I realised that, over the past few months, all I’ve been reading in the Bible is the book of John. A single book. If I took it for granted that all I therefore know about the word of God is from that book, it would mean all the growth I could get would be what I picked from the book. However, if the law is in my heart, it wouldn’t matter that all I’ve read and know is the single book. The law in my heart would be directing me and working in me to become more like Jesus. Such that it wouldn’t matter if John didn’t capture, as Matthew did in the Sermon on the Mount, that lust is adultery already. The moment I lust, the law in me would flag it for me, and if I am tempted to it, the law in me would constrain me. To arrive at this stage, God first told a long story by choosing the descendants of Abraham and giving them the laws to practice. This was important since that’s the natural propensity for us; we require law to guide us. It is no surprise that Christian, in The Pilgrim’s Progress, took this route too. The few honest amongst us, though, often eventually cry out in great pain and bewilderment, as Paul did when he said, “The things I would, I do not; the things I would not, those I do.” We have the law, we confess it is pure, but we can’t follow it. The law within us, though—now that’s life eternal.

Yes, you don't want us to have FPIs? Or you mean depend on FPIs? We are not going to. The cost of the FPIs flows is the stability we are seeing now. The trick is to grow your fundamentals - export, export, export. No amount of aggressive appreciation can save you outside it.

I see the other side of this quote clearly. The non-technical bit.
I think the same is true of creative fields, like I see artists really worrying about AI but I wish so badly that I could sketch animation ideas and character concepts for my agent to flesh out instead of trying to find examples I don't have the language!

At this point, it is good to conclude that anything that can be done on a computer/online/ browser/app can be done by AI / AI Agents. It is reasonable to start with that assumption and then see where it fails, rather than starting with the assumption of limitations. That’s an incredible run in under 3 years!

Be Relatable Who do we clap for? It’s not the person who exerted the least effort and received the highest award. Nor is it the person who tried once and succeeded on the first attempt. We clap for those who achieved the highest award after giving it their all. We clap for those who had to try a hundred times before finally getting that one win. Why do we applaud the latter and not the former? Because one is relatable, and the other is not. We know the former is not the norm. In fact, we’re often quick to attribute their success to luck. The latter, on the other hand, represents a journey we’re not only familiar with, but one many of us are currently on. And so, we relate. We appreciate. We clap. With that in mind, I challenge you to be relatable. Yes, you’ve had 80 failures—keep going, because that is exactly what’s normal. You’ve tried again and again and seen no deserved result—try once more, because that’s the process everyone who eventually wins must go through.

We have come a very long way from GPT-3!

At the heart of this change and transformation will be GPT-3. You can fight this reality. GPT-3 is an open source product of @OpenAI. So far the technology is only available to a select few and has it wrote in its blog, GTP-3 will power next generation applications.

Today's first step, tomorrow's possibilities. We recently welcomed our newest graduate trainees as they begin their professional journeys with us. As they grow alongside our teams, we look forward to seeing them reimagine what’s possible. 1/2

What @_deyemi has done to the timeline is very good. I’m not sure what people think winning takes; it takes a lot, a whole lot of doing the uncomfortable things, and getting no after no.

Take it for granted that the default response you’d get to most requests is a no. So no single "no" can surprise you. /1 In that case then, you approach each request with the view to turn the default “no” into a yes. /2 For most requests, by most of us, all we need is a single “yes.” More than one yes often means we then have to say no to a yes. Therefore, the sequence in 1 and 2 above is really only iterative until a single yes.

Bamboo appears to be into the business of remittances now. And like Risevest, they also now have a business offering (I think they’ve had the business offering for a while though).

If one focuses on correcting the sins of humans, one would spend literally all one’s time doing so, for humans never run out of clever, creative ways to sin. What I would rather focus on is a much simpler message: You must be born again. Because once you are born again, the nature that constantly finds creative ways to sin is removed, and a new nature, one that is completely focused on pleasing God, no matter the personal sacrifice, including the cutting off of your right hand and the plucking out of your eyes, is planted in you and begins to grow.
