For once, I agree with Wab Kinew. The Indian Act needs to go. Stephen Harper’s government started down this road over a decade ago. Any replacement must protect treaty rights, encourage economic independence, reduce the burden on taxpayers and remove barriers to Canada’s growth. Long overdue.
