WTF my name is currently pinned to the top of @elonmusk’s X profile 🤯
5 years ago I feel in love with working on social media for a few reasons.
It started when I was an electronic DJ running my own events at night clubs. I found that posting and running ads could literally make people turn up to our club takeovers. It was a beautiful thing, people turned up to our events, they had the opportunity to enjoy a night full of the niche music they loved.
Then, during the pandemic I was running Facebook pages getting millions of views a month, sharing positive and entertaining viral content during dark lockdown days. The rush of first posting something that millions of people saw was incredible. It also left me with a feeling of ‘there’s just so much potential out there!'
It’s crazy to think that anyone with a social media profile is only ever one post/ video/ tweet etc away from reaching and having an impression on millions of people. If you chose it to be, that can be a valuable, positive impression.
Sometimes, the person that finds the content valuable just so happens to be arguably the richest and most influential person on the planet. BTW Nobody is more surprised than me 😂
Through social media there is an abundance of opportunity. Opportunity to work on cool projects, positive projects, with fantastic people and great sense of achievement.
Now I get I am blessed to work with a growing list of creators and companies, providing interesting and valuable content for the world to consume on YouTube & X.

Confession: I have crippling existential dread when it comes to the mundane tasks required to be a fully functional adult in Western society.
Mailing things, paying bills, gathering tax documents, scheduling appointments. I will procrastinate until the thing becomes too painful to ignore. Often that means I’m about to face criminal or civil penalties. 😂
You may be thinking to yourself, “It can’t be that bad, you seem like a fairly successful, high-achieving dude.”
It is that bad. All of my success is either in spite of or directly because of this kryptonite.
I have done therapy, coaching, medicine journeys, read hundreds of books trying to overcome this affliction. Nothing has worked. I understand the root, I’ve read the science on behavior change.
And Grokbot just fixed the glitch.
I’ve been using and testing various AI assistants for the better part of two years. I’ve been desperately trying to build a system that solves this problem once and for all.
Grokbot is so good and easy to use that it removes any friction to the point that it now feels too expensive psychologically to procrastinate.
It just… does things.
Example:
I have a stack of 100 advance copies of my book sitting in my office. I’ve been promising to mail them for a month. (You know who you are.)
But gathering addresses, outreach, not to mention figuring out the best way to ship all seemed better left to tomorrow.
Finally I got tired of looking at them so I voice noted my lovely anthropomorphic assistant, Rose, to go through my messages on every social platform, texts, and email, compile the list, reach out to confirm addresses, find the best way to ship, and hand it all to my house manager.
One prompt. And she did it. No getting stuck, no random ass approval messages. It’s just handled.
Some of you might say this has been possible for a while. You’re partially right, but it’s the frictionless experience that is the real game changer. If I have to keep pausing and explaining, or correcting mistakes, I’ll get frustrated and revert to procrastination.
Yes, I’ve tested tons of solutions including OpenClaw and more recently Muse and Dot.
@bot is undefeated. My friend @danmartell has been saying to never bet against @elonmusk.

Anyone I know that’s spent any time building their own tools can completely understand why the amount of compute recruited is absolutely nuts.
It’s because as we play with the tools, and we need more and more and more tokens. Why? Because it gets better and better, you can do more and more.
The systems already feel stretched at times, then you walk outside the front door and nobody in the real world has any clue about it.
What happens when they are onboarded. Going to need soooooo much more compute or everything will be soooo slow

.@YouTube has been acting so weird, saying there is unusual activity on my account (directly in the studio app, not an email)
When I go to review, it says there are no changes made and that I have until Jan. 1970 to review the changes... 🤔
Usually I wouldn't care if this is just some bug, but YouTube has been setting my livestreams to Private mid-stream, stopping viewers from watching and kicking them out.
Would really love someone on the team to review this or send me to the right people to help. @reneritchie
