Generic Sales Funnels Are Out - Relationship Funnels Are In (..5 keys to win in 2024)
The market is saturated. Everything is feeling more generic.
Applying the same “sales funnel” as everyone else will do nothing for you.
So what should you do?
👉 A Relationship Funnel
A Relationship Funnel focuses on building trust and leading with value to establish long-lasting relationships.
↳ We build a relationship BEFORE selling a solution
Without mutual trust and understanding - no amount of funnels or frameworks will help you grow your business.
Forget “sales funnels”. Build a relationship funnel.
𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝟱 𝗸𝗲𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 “𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹” (and convert strangers into raving fans):
1️⃣ Focus on genuinely understanding your audience - take time to learn about your audience’s biggest pain points through social listening. Figure out what they care about - real value happens when solving real problems.
2️⃣ Create content targeting their pain points - create text and video-based LinkedIn posts and detailed guides to help your audience overcome their struggles. This will build trust at scale.
3️⃣ Have real conversations - engage personally in comments and messages. Connect with your audience as human beings.
4️⃣ Establish a good relationship with AI - work with AI to automate the things that don’t require your human touch, so you can spend even more time and energy on the things that matter most - building relationships.
5️⃣ Measure progress in relationships, not just revenue - track your testimonials, engagement, and client satisfaction. Revenue is essential - but it’ll always be in proportion to how strong your prospect and client relationships are.
With a relationship funnel, you turn strangers into friends
↳ And friends happily promote you.
It’s true - the future with AI will make things more generic.
However..
That also creates an opportunity for us to stand out.
𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘂𝘀 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲.
Switch your focus to relationship-building → your business will thrive.
👉 The ones who care the most will win.
10 Brutal Realities Of Entrepreneurship (..you won’t hear this from the "gurus") 👇
I'm approaching a decade as an entrepreneur. It's a brutal road.
Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.
Is it worth it?
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬.
Nonetheless, let's keep it real.
Here are 10 brutal realities I learned over my decade as an entrepreneur:
1️⃣ Your life will be affected.
→ You will make sacrifices. Friends will be lost. Family will question you.
BUT
Your true friends will still be there
↳ And you’ll make plenty new ones along the way.
2️⃣ You’ll be anxious.
→ I can count the days on one hand where I haven’t been anxious.
BUT
I've become one tenacious m@therf@cker because of it.
↳ You’ll develop deep respect for yourself & fellow entrepreneurs.
3️⃣ You’ll be completely overwhelmed.
→ And the more you grow, the more work there is. It’s crippling.
BUT
You'll develop an ability to get shit done
↳ to an extent you had no idea was possible
4️⃣ Your bank account will go on frequent rollercoaster rides.
→ I've zeroed out my bank more times than I can count.
BUT
I’ve learned how to sell like an absolute boss
↳ perhaps the most valuable skill one can possess.
5️⃣ Forget the term "balance" (for a while)
→ I've worked 12h nightshifts and taken sales calls in the middle of the night (damn American time zones🤭).
BUT
You learn to truly cherish your time
↳ And appreciate those you spend it with
6️⃣ You’ll waste a lot of time
→ Most of your ideas will be shit, and you’ll probably recognize it too late.
BUT
You only need a few ideas to work
↳ And once they do, it’ll all be worth it
7️⃣ You'll be told you're working too hard
→ And it's probably true. And you’ll ignore it.
BUT
You'll learn where your true limits are.
↳ So you can prioritize better for the rest of your life.
8️⃣ You'll develop unhealthy habits
→ Even with a background in fitness (first 5 years of coaching) I sometimes slip into unhealthy eating & lack of movement.
BUT
You'll be reminded you’re only human
↳ And why you also need a coach.
9️⃣ You'll feel alone
→ People won’t get you, and it'll take you to some dark places.
BUT
You'll eventually find your people
↳ And they'll get what you're going through.
🔟 You'll constantly doubt yourself
→ And feel like an imposter.
BUT
You'll realize it's something everyone deals with
↳ And that overcoming it is what makes for success.
Building a business is brutal.
Yet..
👉 It’s even more brutal to do something that doesn’t put your soul on fire.
The only true security in life is your skillset
↳ And I know no better way to develop it than entrepreneurship.

This DREAM trumps them all (...a story on finding meaning):
Imagine you could dream any dream..
Within each night of sleep - you could dream 75 years of life..
You'd start by experiencing every pleasure imaginable. Perfect health, unlimited wealth, boundless adventure - all yours to enjoy as you sleep.
Each morning, you wake up as usual.
You'd repeat this dream for a while..
But it'd start getting pretty boring, so curiosity strikes..
You think: let's have an adventure.
So you dare to give up control and let the dream take you where it may.
Unexpected challenges emerge. You face fears, insecurity, heartache. You lean into this unpredictable dream.
You'll wake up each morning and say "whoa, that was a close one..". You're relieved it was just a dream.
You'd become more & more adventurous.
And then one evening, the wildest idea appears..
You'll choose to dream exactly as you are. You'll dream the dream of living the life you live today.
This life, which moments ago seemed imperfect, is revealed as the most precious dream of all.
Its ups and downs, joys and sorrows woven into this element of uncertainty - more meaningful than any fantasy.
"𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴."
Every random encounter guides you to a purpose.
Every experience shapes you into who you are.
Within each challenge lay the seed of growth.
👉 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟.
The reason you can experience life at its fullest is because of its inherent uncertainty.
No imaginary pleasure compares to the gritty beauty of this shared human experience. All you longed for is already here.
Meaning isn't found in seeking pleasure or avoiding pain.

The most fulfilling dreams can't be conjured: they're crafted daily through curiosity.
If you could enter a chatGPT-like prompt to conjure your dream tonight - I think this one would bring you the greatest joy, adventure & fulfilment:
"Let's see what you're gonna do.."
When selling your services, you need to be of service more.
When delivering your services, you need to sell more.
There is a huge problem I see with coaches on X..
They are misaligned in their marketing.
They are not conducting their marketing like they do their services.
If your service is intimate and transformational - how do you expect to see results with a generic marketing strategy?
👉 Focus on building relationships (a skill you already have as a coach).
Your only focus should be on the fundamentals.
- Know exactly who your ideal clients is
- Post content talking directly to them
- Build strong relationships in the DMs
- Book calls to assess & connect further
- Position your service as the solution to their problems
Unless you’re pulling in $100k/mo profit, there is no need to go beyond these basics.
𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧.
Forget gimmicks & random Guru recommendations
↳ Leverage your strength of connecting with people.
The results will come in full.
9 years ago, I took a massive risk and quit the only job I've ever had (..without any backup plan) 😯
I made a solemn promise to myself: I would never again settle for anything that didn't ignite my soul.
At 19 years old, I was a door-to-door salesman. With no prior sales experience or education.
Just 2 months into the job, I was ranked Top 3 in Sweden.
It didn't make sense to anyone how I was so good at it - but I know now it was because I had been a sucker for psychology since I was 14: I knew how to read a room, understand the person in front of me & communicate in a way that made them feel understood.
I earned more than my parents combined.
But...
I quit. I hated the industry. Selling TV satellite made me feel inauthentic (I didn't even watch TV).
So, on a day's notice, I quit..
(𝘔𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘬𝘦𝘱𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘴, 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘱𝘢𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢 𝘩𝘪𝘵..🤭).
I understood that allowing my enthusiasm to slowly fade by doing something I didn't truly love was a far greater risk than being unemployed.
So, I took the leap of faith and followed my inner voice. 🫀
4 months later I founded my first online coaching business & worked full-time under myself as a fitness coach. I haven't looked back since.
Trusting my heart has always led me to the right places. Actually - I'd argue it's the only thing that has ever led me the right way.
It hasn't been smooth sailing since then, but every step has been fuelled by my passion & burning desire to make a meaningful impact on the world while living life fully on my own terms.
Now, 9 years later, I am married to the girl of my dreams & we have a son about to turn 1. I can run my business remotely - never missing a single day with them.
I wouldn't have any of it if I hadn't first developed the GUTS to do unconventional things & always bet on myself.
I'm a master of overcoming adversity & have unshakable conviction to create the life I desire for my family.
I've created myself. I've created my family. 🌱
I'm damn proud of it. 💯
