Youth 0-36 Middle Age 37-72 Old Age 73-108 This is science, and the science behind it is: In 2nd grade during the US Bicentennial I decided to live to see the Tricentennial. I'll be 108 in 2076, and hey, 108 is divisible by 3. It can't be a coincidence.
As I pondered the latest manifestations of my advancing decrepitude this morning I wondered: at 52 am I still middle-aged or already old? I know what my students would say (anything/anyone over 30 is old). Let's do this in two parts. 1. When would you say middle age begins?

To those of you at NE Social last night who saw the sleepy guy in a black Cadillac w/a comically large loose hand-rolled cigar of some kind crawl at 7 miles an hour up the street, through the stop sign, and blam into the parked Suburu 5 ft from our tables: That was crazy, right?

A friend in town for a wedding was going to stay w/me. I got Covid, so she got a hotel. I felt badly. Then, all wknd, I've been getting amazing pics of her around town on the free bike (!) from her hotel: Lk Harriet Bandshell; Betty & Earl's Biscuits; Walker Giant Blue Chicken.

The Twin Cities: So Amazing, You Don't Need Your Friend
Flashbacks to "Forward March Hare" (C. Jones, '53) where Bugs -- mistakenly drafted into the Army -- is asked to clean and dress chickens for dinner.
I have been alerted to the existence of pet chicken diapers with bow-ties, and I'd just like you to join me in a group meditation, just let your mind expand around the concept of people buying bow ties for their chickens, walmart.com/ip/Pet-Chicken-D…
