An excellent letter by Sir James Dyson. Well worth reading, many valid points, and we in our ‘farming’ bubble need to remember that it’s all businesses that IHT applies too, & is equally unaffordable to many of them.

First sign of beans emerging amongst our @wildfarmed spring wheat blend. Just got to keep the crows away!

You know you have a groundsel problem when it’s growing out of a wall!

Very satisfying to be eating a loaf make with @wildfarmed flour on the same day as drilling our wildfarmed spring wheat and beans blend.

What do you think? In an area of heavily grazed OSR, why would the strip that has had historical spray misses (because of the telegraph pole) not be grazed by pigeons?

I find it hard to describe what I do for work. Today I was supposed to be mixing home saved spring wheat and beans for @wildfarmed but instead I find myself doing urgent underwater repairs!

Has anyone had establishment success with spinning buckwheat and clover on before direct drilling OSR?

Very interesting difference in soil structure where we have struggled to control brome compared to good OSR establishment in the same field. Much better soil structure, but almost no OSR where we have brome. First year no till.
