so much video game history was destroyed this year. studio closures, 11,000+ devs laid off, physical media going away, etc. people are also getting priced out of gaming because of AI. it’s hard to be hopeful about any of it

edgerunners 2 is probably the best thing i watched this year by far. my only critic is because this is seemingly set after the 2077 game, no mention of V while david martinez being super popular is crazy while in 2077 david isnt that popular, but its fine not THAT big a deal.

People mentioned it but I do think that’s the point they were making. S1 sells you on a dream of being a legend in a city whose looks and vibes reciprocates that. S2 night city isn’t selling you on anything, it’s past that point. All that was left is the misery of the aftermath

finished Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 I LOVED the story, but i never want to see Night City portrayed this sauceless, gritless. sexless again, it felt sanitized to the point of being interchangeable. NC has too much personality to feel like an afterthought 🥀
