CLAYFACE was worse than I was led to believe. It’s anonymous studio trash that is desperately clinging onto one or two cool images to sustain an entire movie. It’s too charmless to be camp. It’s just a big movie of nothing substantial.

Lanterns inspired me to try to go back and read some comics, I started with Reign of the Supermen, then Emerald Twilight to Zero Hour and Final Night, then Day of Judgement. I’m really enjoying it, now onto Green Lantern Rebirth 🙏

Clayface would’ve been much better as a series. Time constraints leave a lot unaddressed and undeveloped, both in plot themes and character development.

This film is so frustrating because it feels like it’s diverting away from the most interesting creative choice it could make at every crossroads
It’s serviceable, it’s enjoyable, but it’s nowhere near as interesting as it could be
Aaron Paul was meant to play Matt Hagen's abusive father in ‘CLAYFACE’.
His very brief cameo was the last trace of a full set of flashbacks shot for the film before all being cut.

Honestly, there is no point writing a review. I’m aware of how snobby I am, and it would just fall on deaf ears. I genuinely hated this movie, and I’m a huge Batman fan, DCU fan, and was pretty excited to watch it.
I’ll hate this movie in peace. I’m glad so many of you loved it
