In 1961, a mafia in Kentucky drugged a former NFL quarterback and put him in bed with a stripper.
George Ratterman had played for the Cleveland Browns. Now he was running for sheriff, promising to shut down the gambling and prostitution that had made Newport, Kentucky the original “Sin City.”
The mob lured him to a hotel suite above the Tropicana nightclub and drugged him.
When he came to, he was undressed and in bed with a stripper named April Flowers. Three Newport cops burst in the room to arrest him.
But instead of ending his campaign, he fought back and the set-up fell apart.
A blood test found the drugs in his system and the stripper later admitted he was unconscious.
Ratterman won the election. And with help from FBI agents sent by Robert Kennedy, he cleaned out the town.
“In four years I got rid of the gambling and the prostitution,” he said, “and I didn’t get killed.”

Tony and his wife, both devout Christians who have 11 children, says that NBC knew who he was when they hired him.
He was a speaker at the March for Life in 2023 which NBC was unhappy about.
He and his wife run the Dungy Family Foundation which has worked with pregnancy centers.
