What a beautiful day… to save Hyrule!
Thank you @NintendoUK for sending me The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, as well as all these lovely things! I did try and blow into the keyring… I’m ashamed to admit.
#gift
I received a special package from @NintendoUK!
Thank you so much. You've made this lifelong Zelda fan even more excited for Ocarina of Time. #gift #zelda #OcarinaofTime
I haven’t got time to play this one just yet (too many bloody games), so I’m throwing this one out for anyone who’s looking for something obviously awesome to play this holiday.
10 years too late on this one, champ.

Creative effort is only gone when you give up and say it’s gone
Fuck this “AI can do it for me” shit
AI can’t replicate exactly how I want a visual joke to look in my YouTube videos. I make that shit myself the way I want, and feel pride when it comes together

what the fuck is happening
The new scream sounds like Link braced himself for the jump, rather than the sheer shock and blood curdling surprise of the original, where it sounds like he fell by mistake. I like it!

Miyamoto believes AI will not make human creativity obsolete:
“Looking back at past designs, there are some that were created merely by copying and pasting. Yet, such work rarely stands the test of time; it lacks the individual’s particular design intention.
Because the process relies on an individual’s intent, with the computer serving as an assistant for the labor, I believe that even as technology continues to evolve, and even if AI were to eventually handle everything, there will always be a role left for us to play.”

Miyamoto discusses what the Order of Culture award means to him:
"I feel quite embarrassed, to be honest, but I am truly honored to have been chosen for such a prestigious award.
As I often say, I do not create games all by myself. This award is the result of the work I have done alongside many others, and I accept it as a representative of that entire team.
Lately, in particular, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with people from fields beyond just video games—such as on "Super Nintendo World" at Universal Studios Japan and various film-related projects. I would like to share the joy of this award with all of them.
Recently, there have been several milestones, such as the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda, and I myself have often mentioned that it has been 45 years since I began making games. However, when I really think about it—having joined Nintendo in 1977 and immediately becoming involved in game development—it has actually been 50 years. Since "50 years" is a nice, round number, I’ll use that figure today.
Fifty years ago, I began working in a medium called "games"—a medium whose very nature was, at the time, not even clearly defined. I have been able to continue this work ever since. I believe I am receiving this recognition precisely because I was there from the very dawn of the industry, and I feel that I have led a very lucky life."
