Heartfelt thank you to @Gibbo4Darlo @JillMortimer4HP @AndyMcDonaldMP @JacobYoungMP @PaulHowellMP for their support and encouragement today. In 2023 we shouldn’t need to campaign to stop people dying in pain and distress but without sustainable hospice care thats what will happen.

All we are asking for is fair funding for the essential NHS care we deliver, for the NHS. If the NHS locally just follows its own national guidance hospice care would be sustainable and able to help many more people and families who need us. This is too important leave to chance.

It seems absurd I’m at Parliament explaining to MPs recent law making access to PEOLC a statutory right, plus @NHSEngland guidance clearly showing how it should be specified and funded is routinely disregarded leading to essential, specialist hospice provision at risk of ending.
