It’s been a tough year for Irish music, losing Moya and now Dónal (and others of course) in a short space of time.
Great atmosphere at the Hertha Berlin @HerthaBSC vs FC Magdeburg Bundesliga Division 2 game at the fabulous and historic Olympiastadion @Oly_Berlin. It finished 2-1 to Hertha but both sets of fans were fantastic 👏👏. First time at a game in Germany. I hope to return!

They are lowering US flags to half-mast for a week, but if the government really wants to pay tribute to Dolly, they should fund education, the arts, and medical research instead of trying to eradicate them.
😥

This is why Irish people live well without a great deal of success in soccer. Gaelic football is life. In 2018 visited Dublin during the football season, and it was insane the socioeconomic dimension of the game. I thought I was in Lisbon for a Benfica x Sporting or something.

Hope. 🙏💙🕊
We've been back in Scotland for a few days.
On the flight home, what struck me was just how welcoming Americans are. I had reservations before going because of Trump, ICE, Palestine, etc. But what we found was that it didn't matter whether black/white, left/right, rich/poor, all the Americans we met were extremely hospitable & welcoming. (Thank you!🙏)
I think if we could get more common people talking with common people, & get the politicians out of the way, we would have a much better world.
America, the football results didn't go our way, but to paraphrase Casablanca, "We will always have Boston." 😘
