Custom Device animation for ROG Xbox Ally #SteamOS
Not sure if I will remove speakers too. I already removed button glyphs, and the ROG logo on the handle to make it cleaner.

This isn't the first year devs have been robbed at gamescom, and their response is unacceptable.
My full statement:
We are aware of stolen hardware and take these reports very seriously and understand the frustration of affected exhibitors.
Since many requests reached us, we would like to inform about general security regulations at the event:
Uniformed guards provide general security across the venue. Individual stand security can be booked separately, and exhibitors are advised to insure equipment against theft.
This is noted in the terms and conditions of participation and the technical guidelines.
All cases have been reported to us and to the police, and investigations are already underway.
We also want to ensure that the reported cases are individual cases, which we are very sorry to read.
Because security has one of the highest priorities to us as an event and to see that indie developers are affected makes us very sad. At an event of this size, however, there will always be individuals attempting to take advantage of the situation.
Our security measures are designed to minimize such risks as effectively as possible.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Multiple exhibitors reported equipment thefts overnight from different areas at Gamescom 2026, not just isolated incidents. Reports include Ryan Laley, iam8bit and Tessera Studios.

Less than 6 hours remain before Dokimon Quest goes back to being paid^^
The feedback since going free-to-claim has been phenomenal: with well over 2,500,000 Steam users claiming the game
A new peak of nearly 1.8k users, over 10 times our previous peak player count of 167 users during launch week has also been achieved
I'd like to first and foremost thank everyone that's taken their valuable time to claim and play my game, and an especially big thanks to those who left feedback on the game, reported issues, and gave their opinion
Being in that there is currently more players in-game than ever before (consistently +1k for over 36 hours), some new issues were discovered and are currently being worked on
I will work tirelessly to fix as much things as possible, and ensure these fixes also make it into the sequel's launch day build, along with all of the other generous feedback we've gotten since starting this free to claim event
I am absolutely completely overwhelmed with how many people picked up the game and are currently playing and enjoying this little world I built.
Dokimon Quest never fails to surprise me: It was originally meant to be a short, 3-5 hour game with just 50-70 monsters.
As I worked on it, we got more and more awareness, interested players, and support, which ultimately inspired me to bring Dokimon Quest to what it is today:
A 15 hour adventure, with over 140 monsters, two expansive regions to explore, countless characters, and even a DLC that released earlier this year
I never expected the free-to-claim event to go as viral as it did. I was expecting *maybe* 100,000 claims total, across all 48 hours, with "a quarter million" being an absolutely insane threshold to meet
With still some several hours remaining on the event, we have already 10x'd that "insane" threshold I never thought we could ever achieve
So again, thank you to everyone that's supported us, shared our game on social media and in friend groups, bought, or claimed, and downloaded and played our game, and provided feedback.
I have no doubt the feedback will go a long way, and help us make Dokimon Quest II into an extraordinary title
Whether you enjoyed the game or not, from the bottom of my heart: "Thank you"

in less than 2 hours since Dokimon's free to claim campaign started, over a quarter million people have already claimed the game!
We've also seen a ton of people picking up the DLC, Wishlisting the sequel, and even buying the game despite it being free
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

My pride and joy that I spent 5 years and 10,000 hours on is about to be 100% off (free to keep forever)!
If you're interested in eva-inspired, 144 monsters, stealing enemy's monsters, 2 regions, 15 hour story and more, please share this around!
The Steam sale is August 24th!

I truly believed Twisted Tower was mediocre at best. For five years (ask my wife) I felt like I was completely wasting not only my money and time, but destroying my credibility on YT and hurting my small team. Constant floundering, budget cuts, letting team members go, going solo for almost a year, and seriously considering quitting game dev (I never said it out loud). And then suddenly like a firecracker going off I wake up and realize maybe it’s a pretty decent game.

PSA: '100% off, free to keep soon... but WHY?', I'm getting this question a lot recently, so let me clear some things up!
WARNING: First and foremost, I have to say this: Steam just told me that Dokimon Wishlisters WILL NOT be notified when the game goes 100% off.
To combat this, I've set my game's DLC to go on a 20% sale starting on the same day, so if you want a Steam Wishlist notification/email, that is linked on my website (and currently in my stories) so definitely do that if you want to get notified when the base game goes free to keep in 12 days!!!
⚠️ You will only have 48 hours to claim the game for free. After that, it will be full priced again. If you claim the game, you get to keep it forever!
Phew. Now that that's out of the way, let's get into the 'WHY!' 😄 So: I am a solo developer, and Dokimon Quest was my first big game. It was not perfect by any means, especially on launch.
Thus, I spent 2 years updating and perfecting it, and it's in a REALLY good state now! However, there are still some few things that cannot be changed or improved upon. So I would like to do this giveaway, not only just to give back to my community, but also so that I can get new feedback on the 2-years active updated version of the game, and take all of that into account while making my sequel so that I can make it as good as possible!
Also, NO ⚠️ I do not get ANY money from this event. However, it will be a fantastic opportunity to grow as a developer, get some well needed feedback before diving into the developement of my sequel for a year or so, and also I'm just so excited for so many new people to experience my first big game I made all by myself and worked super hard on!!!
Lastly, I LOVE my game and my job. I spent 10,000 hours crafting the game I always wanted to play as a kid. And I'm going to make many more games!
I won't ask for anything in return. But if you enjoyed the game and left a review, I'd really appreciate that! (I read every single one) ❤️❤️❤️
and if you REALLY want to give back, I'm making a game with my friend that will release next month, and Dokimon's sequel is also coming in 2027. If those games seem interesting to you, please consider wishlisting them 💖
That's all! Cheers, and thank you everyone for always supporting me so much!!!

Dokimon Quest is going to be 100% free to claim (and keep forever) for just 48 hours later this month
The game also has a DLC that released this year which will be 20% off, and a new game is scheduled to release in September
