Everyone is sick to their stomach because of the METR report, apparently no one read it or if they did they are braindead.

If you release the reins of your understanding to a clanker then you have always been a larper instead of an engineer.

Im amazed by how surprised AI bros are that Dems want to shut it all down after fear mongering and calling everyone irrelevant for the past 4 years. You reap what you sow, learn to be kind next time and sucks cause AI is a net positive tech

The fucking state of things, illiterate bastards post this -> arxiv.org/abs/2611.02216 as some ground breaking thing, if you look inside is just a 3 page rant with nothing supporting their claims. The state of things or something

If websites end up becoming headless so only agents can interact with them how will scrapers make a living?

Miro el resumen del BBVA, 75k de mantenimiento. Llamo al ejecutivo de cuenta, “te lo podemos bonificar si gastas 2 palos y medio o invertís 10 palos en el banco”. Si dale, ahora mismo lo hago

Conversations feels draining with clankers cause only autistic individuals take turns talking, real interactions dont just send One message per response, and humans interrupt each other. Sit on that

"Con el home office, mucha gente laburaba a medias porque tenía tres laburos y, cada vez que los contactaba, me decían 'fui a buscar a los chicos al colegio' y los trajimos de vuelta a trabajar presencialmente": la confesión de la especialista en Recursos Humanos Patricia Jebsen.

What if code should be read and comprehended more like a story and less like a recipe?

User funds are safe! It does look like a hack on Binance. Appreciate the quick freeze from Tether (~$971m) and Circle (~$823m). I don't manage Binance (.com) anymore, but as a shareholder, I expect all user funds will be fully covered.

china keeps losing
Ongoing: Binance possibly drained for $2.77 Billion.

I guess @ProtonPrivacy wants to lose customers
‼️ Proton CEO Andy Yen called a staffer's plea to pentest new code before release "bullshit and loser thinking". Yen wrote that workers should prompt “better.” Proton's CTO told staff AI wrote 90% of its code in October, much of it with Anthropic's Claude.

Can't wait to run an illegal clinic in my house using claude
Last night an AI agent performed brain surgery on a mouse. We gave it 19 gene therapy vectors in a spreadsheet, a mouse model of epilepsy, access to a motorize surgery rig with cameras and one goal: reduce seizures. It picked the drug. It picked the brain region. It derived the coordinates from three papers. Then it drove the stereotaxic arms into the brain and injected 250 nanolitres while watching the entry site through the rig camera for bleeding. A licensed vet gated every irreversible step and held a physical kill switch to stop the AI agent. Thread on what it decided, what it saw, and the moment it refused to let me override it. [Writing this on the spot out of excitement, but I've been 18hrs in front of my laptop coding and coordinating this, so keeping it brief and descriptive, more cohesive thoughts on this soon...]

The vulnerability (CVE-2026-97631) only affects systems actively PXE network-booting using vulnerable EDK2 firmware; it requires sending malicious ICMP packets during that window and does not impact systems booting from local disks or with PXE disabled. github.com/tianocore/edk2… arstechnica.com/security/2026/…
