After my weekly grocery delivery and paying my rent this morning... I feel like I've had the life sucked out of me. I'm going back for more coffee... to sip on my balcony... before it starts to rain again. I shall return. Happy Thursday, everyone! πππ

Senator @CoryBooker just eviscerated Donald Trump over saying he would "Veto everything" if Democrats win the House and Senate:
"First of all, I mean, what an idiotic thing to say. So he's basically saying if we get bipartisan bills passed, put them on his desk, that he's not going to do things that make things better for the American people. You've got to be kidding me. That's not what Reagan did when he had a Congress that was Democratic. It's not what Clinton did when he had a Congress that was Republican. "He said, 'send me bills that will help the American people.' Donald Trump is just so out of touch right now. This election is so vital that we rebuke a president who is getting rich through this corruption, this crypto schemes, who is just cruel and crass. We need to get our nation back to focusing on the work of the American people."

Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

I now have two sources close to Susie Wiles who claim that Trump is preparing a vast misinformation campaign for November 4th, built around conspiracy theories alleging widespread election fraud.
The plan? Declare victory regardless of the results, accuse Democratic officials of manufacturing ballots overnight, claim voting machines were secretly manipulated, and demand that Republican candidates refuse to concede.
In this scenario, the goal isnβt to prove fraud. Itβs to convince millions of Americans that any election Republicans lose must have been stolen.

Dolores Huerta was a hero of mine.
When she co-founded the National Farm Workers Association in 1962, people thought Dolores was crazy. βHow are you going to organize farm workers,β she remembered being asked. "They are poor, powerless immigrants.β But thatβs exactly what she did, helping thousands of migrant laborers working in brutal conditions make their voices heard, and demand something better.
Dolores spent the rest of her life fighting for marginalized communities, even as she herself faced sexism and abuse β including, as she revealed earlier this year, from Cesar Chavez and others within her own movement. She also came up with a pretty good slogan, βSi, se puedeβ β Yes, we can β that I too often get credit for. But as usual, Dolores got there first.
Michelle and I are thinking of Doloresβs family, the people whose lives she changed, and everyone who drew inspiration from her example.

The parents of Alex Pretti, who was killed by federal immigration officers in Minneapolis, say the Justice Department is refusing to turn over evidence to state and local officials.

No parent should mourn their child because a rogue agency murdered them. Alex Prettiβs family is begging the federal government to hear their pleas.
Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller lied about his death and claimed that he was a domestic terrorist. The Trump regime has tried to bury this story. Itβs been 9 months and the incompetent DOJ has done nothing to prosecute those ICE agents.
Abolish ICE now.
Listen to the grieving families.
