I believe there's an enormous *ETF* story brewing w/ Hyperliquid as part of this...
As the regulatory environment evolves & perps move onshore in the US, I expect their use w/in ETFs to absolutely explode.
Perps obviously help solve the issue of gaining price exposure to hard to access & illiquid securities.
Also, since perps have no expiry, they eliminate the need to roll expiring contracts, potentially reducing the negative drag associated w/ traditional futures.
Think perps will be used heavily w/in ETFs because of this.
trade[XYZ] and ICE, owner of the New York Stock Exchange, are joining forces to bring 24/7 perpetual futures on Hyperliquid to the United States.
In just over a year, our markets on Hyperliquid have surpassed $650 billion in volume. They provide continuous price discovery for stocks, indices, and commodities, and have become trusted reference points for retail and institutions alike when traditional markets are closed. Much of the world trades them. Until now, Americans could only watch.
We intend to change that. Subject to CFTC approval, trade[XYZ] and ICE plan to establish a new, dedicated U.S. market, with novel exchange and clearing infrastructure built on Hyperliquid. Planned contracts span equities, indices, commodities, FX, and crypto, with access through participating brokers and platforms. We’ll share more on products, eligibility, and timing as approvals progress.
ICE brings more than 25 years of experience operating regulated markets, clearing, and managing risk. trade[XYZ] brings the product development, market design, and technology behind the most liquid and robust markets on Hyperliquid.
Innovation and the protections of U.S. regulation shouldn’t be a trade-off. Together, we plan to prove it.
ICE is making a strategic investment in trade[XYZ] and joins us in building towards the future of Hyperliquid. A small group of market luminaries is joining as well, beginning with Stan Druckenmiller. For more than four decades, few investors have anticipated the great turns in markets as often as Stan. We’re proud to have him with us for the next one.
We’re building the U.S. market in parallel with our existing HIP-3 markets, which we’ll continue to expand and innovate on. We expect both to flourish. They each have a long road map ahead, from new asset classes to new ways to trade them.
To the Hyperliquid community, whether you were here before us or came because of us, thank you. You took a chance on new markets and you made them matter. You’ll forever be a part of this story.
Anything. Anytime. On ICE[XYZ].

trade[XYZ] launched its first market on Hyperliquid 381 days ago. Today, we are joining forces with ICE, parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, to bring perpetual futures on Hyperliquid to U.S. regulated markets.
I don’t usually write long posts, but today merits reflection.
For years, builders across this industry have worked to show that open, onchain markets could support price discovery, manage risk, and withstand stress to the standards of traditional market infrastructure, all while staying open when and where those markets aren’t.
Our achievements stand on the shoulders of those builders. And today, the company that owns the New York Stock Exchange has chosen to build upon the work of every developer, trader, market maker, and user who took a chance on us and our markets. We share this moment with all of you.
Markets are shaped by their participants. A new generation of investors trades from their phones, across asset classes, at any hour of any day. Until Hyperliquid, the right infrastructure for those markets didn’t exist.
Building these markets was hard. It took novel approaches to pricing, funding, and risk, refined with real capital at stake, in markets that don’t close. It also meant earning the trust of the people trading on them. We’re honored that the community recognized that effort and responded in kind.
That trust is what allowed us to grow our volumes to a ~$1 trillion annualized run rate in just over a year, to help pioneer new instruments like pre-IPO perps, and to earn the confidence of storied institutions like S&P Dow Jones Indices. That’s why ICE has chosen trade[XYZ] as its exclusive partner to bring 24/7 perps to the U.S.
Shifts in technology have pushed markets toward greater transparency, better price discovery, and broader access: from the coffee house to the curb exchange, ticker tape to the telephone, the trading floor to digital exchanges.
ICE helped write that last chapter. In 1997, Jeff Sprecher bought a small power-trading technology business for $1. ICE launched as an electronic energy marketplace in 2000, helped digitize major commodity markets, and acquired the NYSE in 2013. It has grown exponentially because of this appetite for innovation. That’s the partner we wanted: a partner that looks forward and embraces progress.
Americans deserve access to the most innovative markets in the world, and the protections of U.S. regulation. With trade[XYZ] and ICE, subject to regulatory approvals, they’ll have both.
The difference isn’t just access. Perps don’t expire, so traders never have to roll positions, and liquidity concentrates in a single deep market for each asset. Cross-margining enhances capital efficiency by letting one pool of collateral back positions across stocks, commodities, and crypto. Underpinning it all are atomic clearing and settlement, real-time risk management that enables continuous markets, and universally applied rules that anyone can verify. This is the next chapter we’ll write together.
My responsibility, our responsibility, is to now build markets worthy of the confidence our partners and our users have placed in us. Our commitments will not waver: to fair and transparent markets, to diverse markets, to low costs of execution, and above all, to market integrity.
All of this in pursuit of one thing:
A universal exchange, open around the clock, coming to the United States.
We’re proud to have deployed more than 100 markets on trade[XYZ]. But measured against the opportunity ahead, we’ve barely started. There is an enormous universe of assets we haven’t reached, alongside things people want to trade that have no established market at all. Wherever there is demand to trade an asset, we want trade[XYZ] to be where its price is discovered.
Global stocks, commodities, bonds, pre-IPO companies, compute, new indices, digital assets, interest rates, equity baskets, volatility products, alt assets… Anything. Anytime. Anywhere.
Ultimately, everything you own should work with everything you trade. Picture a headline breaking on Saturday night. You should be able to post tokenized shares as collateral, hedge your portfolio with an index perp, add exposure to oil, and take a view on a company that has not yet gone public. All in one account, all on one risk engine, before any traditional market opens. trade[XYZ] and Hyperliquid were built for this.
I hope someone opens their first investment account years from now to find that trivial, and to wonder why their predecessors needed so many separate financial relationships. Getting there will take liquidity, reliability, trust, and prices people have reason to believe. It will take years. I’m prepared to spend them.
Finally, a few thank yous.
First to the XYZ team: For the tireless nights and for committing to this vision before it was obvious.
To Jeff Sprecher and ICE, with special thanks to Michael Blaugrund and Trabue Bland who championed us throughout: You’re a world-class, technology-embracing team that proves innovation and scale are in fact not at odds.
To Stan Druckenmiller: For your partnership and helping us turn the next page.
To Hyperliquid Labs: For being the best partners we could ask for. You set an impossible standard, one we continually strive to meet. @chameleon_jeff, @iliensinc, @xulian_hl
And most importantly, to our users: You traded these markets when no one thought it mattered.
Guess what? It did.

6am: wake up. checks Trading View. "Strong Asia session", BTC +3%. You beautiful Koreans. Today will be a good day.
7.30am: NEAR unchd. ZEC unchd. ETH hedge +4% losing money. Longs probably just laggy, they'll catch up. Flood thinks ETHs going to zero too.
check onchain - really must remember to sell my Robinhood bags into this strength...Hm all my stuff 10% lower than when i last checked. Strange. KOL was pitching them as the top long yday.
midday: NYC 9.30am, the big boys are in LFG!
"TRUMP: WAR WITH IRAN IS BACK ON". Of course it is. BTC -3% in 10 mins. Turns out the huge US seller still has coins. Ansem's still bullish - we'll be ok.
3pm: Chamath on a podcast: "Bitcoin will get hacked and go to zero". Haha i knew it - luckily I'm in quantum safe stuff like NEAR and ZEC - real tech. Check prices. -15%, hm strange - guess market hasn't seen the headline.
NEW RUNNER: KIMCHI backed by Pump. That guy made $40m! Oh they are gonna crime this to a billy - will onboard the normies too i bet. Guess I'm a bit late but I bought a bag - time to make it back lads!
a16z drops "crypto" from the fund name. What idiots, bottom signal!!! I guess i did move half my portfolio to memory stock in June - need to check how those are doing actually...
4pm: KIMCHI got vamped?? or is there an OG??? How is that even possible. Don't worry, PUMP is behind this one, new coin always wins. Bought a bit more.
6pm: notification. "Your ZEC long requires more margin". JFC. At least I'm short ETH, that'll save me a little. Check PnL. ZEC -15%, ETH -2%. Flood's gone private - probably just temporary. Cool cool cool.
7pm: wtf Kimchi & Alon deleted the tweets! Pump gone from the Kimchi bio. Fuck not again. Out. -40%. Honestly, a win in this market. Bet a lot of people got hurt on that one.
Time to sleep. One last look at CT. Oh Ansem now bearish? Threadguy out of ZEC? Guess I'll cut the ZEC long in the morning. Checks price - liquidated.
Guess I'll put on some shorts tomorrow to make it back...

My advice would be to stop bragging about how much money you make trading memecoins. Stop flexing your wealth on social media.
You screamed for attention and you got it. Attention comes at a cost few are prepared to pay.

shout out to the guys still running universal basic income experiments to figure out what people will do with free money from the government as if we don’t have like 100 years of welfare data, and as if that answer isn’t basically just: rot, demand more free shit, crime
Thanks for the clarifications @armaniferrante
This is an odd structure so worth spelling out.
-Staked tokens may receive up to 20% of equity for conversion if they were staked for 4+ years
-after a liquidity event (ie, IPO), the token will presumably lose a huge % of value and be reduced to a utility token. Unstaked tokens or tokens staked for less than 1 year miss out on the equity conversion (if IPO ever happens)
-the equity entity holds 37.5% of the token in reserve but it’s locked until 1 year after. I am unsure if there is any information about what would be done with the tokens 1 year after IPO— but to the extent that it retains value, one could assume the team/investors may further benefit from these tokens
-the other 37.5% is released on certain milestones (ie, licensing on certain markets, growth, etc)
Despite “public information” there are many misleading aspects.
-Many investors shilling this as “their highest conviction investment”. The audience reading can only buy the token when they actually bought equity. At least some of that at $100m FDV. As laid out above, the token is entitled to a maximum of 20% of the equity and only under certain conditions (IPO + long term staking), so this is not an apples to apples comparison. Some more transparency would be a bare minimum ask. It’s fair to assume by the time of IPO, 62.5% of tokens will be circulating. At the current price of $1.25, token buyers are paying $4B valuation pre-any IPO or pre IPO dilution for an option to convert into Backpack equity. The investors encouraging people to buy tokens bought something 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 and vastly superior
-writing long-form puff pieces that provide no revenue numbers or trajectory. In the light of “public information”, why not provide this? If you want people to be able to underwrite $BP’s value, give them the bare minimum information to do that. Most projects do this or most have it available onchain. I would think a team that prides itself on rising from the ashes of being former Alameda, FTX, and Serum team members would see the need for transparency.
-and describing the structure as “progressive”. I’m sorry but I vehemently disagree and see the structure as inferior to the 2026 norm. Many projects now such as Hyperliquid and Lighter have eliminated the equity-token conflict altogether by having all value accrue to the token. Others will completely merge the concept of equity and token. That’s progress. The chance at 20% equity 4+ years down the road seems like 10 steps back from common 2026 structures.
Replying to @Evan_ss6 @Austin_Federa
This is all public information.
- All investors are stuck in equity until a traditional equity event (e.g. IPO).
- Tokens are held by the company for use by management one year after such an event.
- Not a single token warrant has been given to any person on the planet.
- There's no foundation or other such side channel.
- The token simply goes to users that use the product.
- As a result, the only people that can sell on the market are people that a) earned tokens through using the product or b) people that previously bought the token.
I know you don't like me Evan and have some pre-existing narrative in your mind about me that's probably not going to change, but it's really that simple.

So many people have DM’d me about this trailer and I’ll be honest, watching it made me physically throw up.
I was COO from before FTX even had a name, it was my baby, and I was the last one out of the Bahamas after Sam got extradited. I lost everything I had on it and it took me a long time to get over, so I have zero interest in defending the people who caused this.
The media loves the story that FTX blew up because we were all partying in the Bahamas, but the place I worked looked nothing like that.
We had under 200 people in the core company at its peak, not counting subsidiaries, when other exchanges our size had thousands, so a lot of us were doing 16 to 18 hour days for over three years and barely had time to sleep, and whenever we walked in, day or night, Sam was at his desk.
I worked with Caroline and never once saw her get aggressive like she does in this trailer. She’s quiet and mild, and often lost in her own thoughts.
Most of us didn’t even know she and Sam were dating until we read about it after the bankruptcy, and I never saw him so much as put an arm around anyone.
FTX’s collapse ruined so many people’s lives, including ours, and Netflix decided to make it a love story.
Shame on you @netflix.

Your main advantage is your onboarding funnel. Seeing Coinbase listing Pons before you is weird. Seeing no listing at all after Cashcat is even weirder. Having zero mentions of Robinhood Chain whatsoever at your latest conference the weirdest still. I have no idea what happened and why but the vibe shift in comms has been wild.
Also - this is small but not really - the announcement for merch tomorrow’s anngversary as everything on your chain nukes to earth’s core smells of Base’s tone death nonsense so hard. You still have 24 hours to course correct and add something of substance or a nice listing to some nonsensical hoodies or ledgers or whatever.
Vlad keeps talking RWA’s on chain and all we got was an unfunny cat memecoin. Show some actual support.
Please correct course asap or the considerable advantages, support and good faith you carved out for yourself will be squandered.
These last few weeks have been extremely disappointing.
hey there, fern here. Normally I just post food pics but today I woke up and wanted to check in and get some feedback as we near 100 days of Robinhood Chain being live.
in addition to my unpaid role as an unofficial pizza influencer, my day job is leading our onchain and DeFi products at @RobinhoodCrypto
listening to the people is key, so I want to know:
what can we do to make the onchain ecosystem work better for you? What do you like? Hate? Anything we’re missing?
what do you want to see from our next 100 days that you havne't seen so far?
and for good measure, here's my pizza from last night to stay on brand.
thanks to everyone supporting what we're doing. It's been an exciting ride so far.

I wasn’t going to comment since this is a really bad take IMO, but since it’s taken off I feel the need to. To my understanding, there is no evidence whatsoever pointing to a break of decades old hardness assumptions like elliptic curve cryptography. 1/n
Today I call upon the blockchain industry to calmly begin planning for "bunker mode". My personal recommendation is to set in motion a controlled mass migration of assets to fresh addresses, i.e. addresses whose pubkeys remain hidden behind a hash.
Holders, starting with large and sophisticated ones, should consider moving the bulk of their funds to addresses that have never signed a transaction. And when they do sign one, they should also move remaining funds to a new address (possibly generated from the same seed phrase).
Don't rush. While I believe there is cause for action a rushed migration would do more harm than good. Don't panic either. Moving assets to protected addresses is a simple, preventative step which does not require new cryptography or new wallets.
IMO it is now reasonable to brace for the possibility that ECDSA breaks before qday, in the worst case in months not years. By "break" I mean fast private key recovery (e.g. in one week) on available hardware (e.g. a large GPU cluster).
Recent days have been humbling for human mathematical intuition. Long-held, unquestioned hypotheses have fallen. This includes the n log(n) bound for integer multiplication and the 3SUM conjecture. In hindsight, May's unexpected disproof of the Erdős unit distance conjecture was our warning shot.
Yesterday's OpenAI drop made it clear that mathematical superintelligence is upon us. They say there are weeks where decades happen. We are about to live through weeks where centuries of mathematical progress happen. Could our magic 64-byte ECDSA signatures be too good to be true? Was it just security through obscurity all this time?
Elliptic curves feel especially vulnerable to superintelligence. Curves carry rich structure, with room for fancy tricks like Schoof, Frobenius, pairings. (By contrast, hashes are designed to minimise algebraic structure.)
Separately, as Ewin Tang can attest, an efficient quantum algorithm sometimes foreshadows an efficient classical one. We should be open to the possibility of a classical counterpart to Shor that breaks elliptic curves and RSA at once.
Also noteworthy is the striking under-representation of cryptographic breakthroughs among the 722 mathematical results OpenAI published. I've witnessed first-hand the US government censoring academic quantum cryptanalysis results. Backroom interventionism is my base case.
I urge large, sophisticated actors to lead by example. Project11's "risq list" (bitcoin-risq-list.projecteleven[.]com) is a great tracker of exposed BTC pubkeys. Binance, Bitbank, Robinhood, Bitfinex, and Tether have an opportunity to harden their cold storage. Next month I'll address institutions in London in a live Q&A (forum.ethereuminstitutional[.]org/london-2026).
Again, please do not rush. Wallets holding under 50 BTC enjoy partial cover from "Satoshi's shield", i.e. his 20K exposed addresses that hold 50 BTC each. Load-bearing signers like oracles and L2 security councils should consider rotating ECDSA pubkeys with every signed message and/or multi-signing with a hash-based schemes like SPHINCS.
Exiting bunker mode safely will require post-AI cryptography. My inclination is to go all-in on hash-based cryptography and avoid structured mathematical assumptions entirely, whether from curves, lattices, or isogenies. A single battle-tested hash (e.g. from the SHA or BLAKE families) yields plausible post-AI security.
The Ethereum roadmap on strawmap[.]org fully embraces hash-based cryptography with end-to-end formal verification as a response to the quantum threat. Those timelines must now be revisited and accelerated in light of mathematical superintelligence. I'll be pushing for maximum defensive acceleration.

Posing as a client, I gathered intel that helped action freezes for the Feb 2025 Bybit exploit and attribute illicit activity onchain.
“The trenches” are the Crusades of trading
-peasants march toward a promised land none of them have seen
-clergy sell indulgences (KOL calls)
-95% die on the road to bandits and disease (snipers, bundles, side wallets)
-the survivors come home rich and gloat about glorious battle
