$400 billion has been wiped out from $META market cap in the last 14 days as the stock crashes 20%, officially entering bear market territory
Reasons:
1. Meta spent $34.9 billion in one quarter, and expects to spend $135 billion to $145 billion in 2026
2. Its cash after spending turned negative at $1.16 billion, against positive $11.2 billion a year earlier
3. Its debt rose to $80.9 billion, from $58.7 billion at the end of 2025
4. Profit from operations fell to 20% of revenue, from 40%
5. Meta launched a $35 billion stock sale on Monday to fund AI spending
6. It plans to sell up to $60 billion more in new non-voting shares starting in 2027
This is one of the “Magnificent 7” we are talking about

🇯🇵 Japan’s hacking problem has gotten so bad the Prime Minister is stepping in herself.
PM Sanae Takaichi is holding an emergency meeting with her ministers tonight, after a bunch of cyberattacks left Japanese companies leaking huge amounts of data.
The latest one hit GMO Internet Group, where hackers got into its currency trading service and some customers found trades in their accounts they never made.
GMO is now asking the government to help take the attackers down.
And the awkward part is that Japan only just brought in new laws less than a month ago, letting it hunt down hackers before they strike.
Turns out the hackers weren’t too worried about them.

🚨 THE FIRST AI BUBBLE HAS BURST.
China's STAR50 index, which tracks the country's biggest AI and chip companies, has crashed 40% in less than four months.
That has wiped out about $480 billion in market value.
The damage has spread across the whole market.
China's main CSI 300 index is now in a bear market, down 20% from its June high, and Chinese stocks have lost $3.5 trillion in total value since their May peak.
China's two listed AI model companies, MiniMax and Zhipu, have lost a combined $150 billion from their highs.
Robot maker Unitree crashed 50% since its August listing, and optical parts makers Zhongji Innolight and Eoptolink are down about 60%.
The warning signs were already there.
At the peak, the STAR50 traded at almost 250 times earnings.
AI stocks made up 42% of China's entire stock market and 57% of all trading, mostly driven by retail investors.
Now look at the US.
AI-linked stocks make up 49% of the S&P 500's value, according to JPMorgan.
That's even higher than China's 42% before its crash.
The S&P 500's Shiller P/E ratio is above 40, the second highest in over 150 years.
The only time it was higher was right before the dot-com crash.
Margin debt, the money investors borrow to buy stocks, has hit a record $1.5 trillion.
And Anthropic just filed for an IPO that could value it at $2 trillion, after losing $80.7 billion in the first half of this year.
The US is now flashing the same warning signs China did before its AI stocks crashed.

🚨 ANTHROPIC'S $1.5 TRILLION IPO FILING REVEALS SOME TERRIFYING NUMBERS.
The company behind Claude has officially filed to go public, but its financial disclosures raise serious questions.
Here are the biggest revelations:
1. MASSIVE LOSSES: Anthropic reported an $80.7 BILLION net loss on just $16.29 billion in revenue during the first six months of 2026.
Around $72.4 billion of that loss came from noncash accounting charges. Its operating loss was approximately $693 million.
2. ENORMOUS AI SPENDING: The company disclosed approximately $245 BILLION in future minimum computing-capacity payments.
It also has massive agreements with Amazon and Google, alongside substantial equipment lease obligations.
3. HEAVY BIG TECH DEPENDENCE: Around 47% of Anthropic's 2025 revenue came through Amazon and Google's cloud marketplaces.
These companies are also major investors, infrastructure providers and competitors.
4. CUSTOMER CONCENTRATION: Just two customers accounted for approximately 24% of its 2025 revenue.
Losing either could have a significant impact on its business.
5. NO EXPECTED DIVIDENDS: Anthropic does not expect to pay cash dividends in the foreseeable future.
Investors would mainly depend on the share price increasing to make money.
6. LIMITED SHAREHOLDER CONTROL: Its seven co-founders would collectively control 50.1% of voting power on major matters.
Public investors could own shares without having much influence over important decisions.
7. SAFETY OVER PROFITS: Anthropic acknowledges that its AI safety priorities could conflict with shareholders' financial interests.
Its special governance structure gives its Long Term Benefit Trust significant influence.
8. EXTREME VALUATION: At a potential $1.5 TRILLION valuation, Anthropic would be worth roughly 46 times its annualized first-half revenue.
Even using its higher reported Q3 revenue, that multiple would still be around 22 times annualized sales.
9. INTENSE COMPETITION: The filing highlights risks from competing AI developers, falling AI service prices, rising computing costs and rapidly changing technology.
10. AI SECURITY RISKS: Anthropic also warns about potential misuse of advanced AI, cyberattacks and the possibility of serious harm from increasingly capable AI systems.
All this comes as the company prepares to list on Nasdaq under $ANT.
An $80.7 BILLION reported loss, hundreds of billions in computing obligations, no expected dividends and limited shareholder voting power.
These are some of the biggest risks disclosed in an IPO that could value Anthropic at $1.5 TRILLION.
BREAKING: Claude developer Anthropic officially files for a US IPO.
It plans to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker $ANT, with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley leading the offering.
Despite an $80.7 billion net loss on $16.29 billion in first half revenue, it could be valued at around $1.5 trillion.
Anthropic valuation: $1.5 trillion
Walmart valuation: $960 Billion
Anthropic revenue: $16.3 billion
Walmart revenue: $365 billion
Anthropic has filed an S-1 registration statement with the SEC related to its proposed IPO.

‼️ Tailscale SSH Flaws Could Let Hackers Gain Root Access Across Servers
Details: cybersecuritynews.com/tailsc…
A new security report warns that Tailscale SSH has flaws that could let a hacker move from one compromised device to root access on other servers. Tailscale SSH lets approved devices log in to each other over a private network. The report lists 11 findings in five groups.
They cover Tailscale’s SSH server, its serve and app connector features, the DERP relay client, and headscale, an open-source server that manages Tailscale networks.
The researcher tested Tailscale 1.104.2 and headscale 0.29.5 between October 22 and October 24, 2026. The most serious group involves Tailscale SSH. Its SSH server runs inside tailscaled, a background program with full root privileges on the machine.
#cybersecuritynews
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The flaws require an already-approved device in the Tailscale network with SSH rules permitting access/forwarding; they enable post-compromise lateral movement and escalation inside the tailnet, not unauthenticated remote access from outside.

🚨 BREAKING:
🇺🇸 PRESIDENT TRUMP WILL MAKE AN EMERGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE NATION TODAY AT 6:00 PM ET!
INSIDERS SAY HE WILL ANNOUNCE THE RESUMPTION OF MILITARY OPERATIONS AGAINST IRAN, WITH THE FIRST MISSILE STRIKES EXPECTED TONIGHT!
IT'S HARD TO PREDICT HOW HIGH OIL PRICES WILL SURGE OR HOW MUCH DAMAGE THIS WILL DO TO THE GLOBAL ECONOMY!
EXTREMELY BEARISH FOR GLOBAL MARKETS!!!
🚨 THIS MONDAY COULD BE THE WORST MARKET OPEN OF 2026!
Markets are walking into the most dangerous setup of the year, and almost nobody is positioned for it.
If you hold any assets right now, read this before Monday.
Because what's building isn't an ordinary correction.
Here's what's stacked up:
→ Japan and China both cutting U.S. Treasury exposure at the same time
→ Yields near 2002 levels, the 30-year above 5.5%
→ Renewed U.S. military strikes against Iran potentially just days away
→ Strait of Hormuz risk threatening global energy routes
→ Oil above $100 feeding straight into inflation
→ Asian markets sitting exposed to a sharp selloff
And now there's another major threat.
The U.S. could resume military operations against Iran within days. If new strikes begin, the consequences for oil prices and global markets could be enormous.
None of this is isolated. It's one feedback loop, and it's tightening.
When two major foreign holders of U.S. debt step back together, that supply has to find new buyers. And new buyers may demand higher yields.
That's where the danger begins!
The chain writes itself:
Japan and China trim holdings → market struggles to absorb the supply → yields rise to attract demand → borrowing costs climb → stocks, real estate and crypto all reprice lower → new strikes against Iran threaten oil supplies → inflation surges → yields face even more upward pressure.
And then it feeds itself. Treasury selling accelerates. Higher yields trigger liquidations. Those liquidations spread into every major asset class.
Oil, bonds, stocks, crypto, geopolitics - these aren't separate stories anymore. They're links in the same chain.
And if military operations against Iran resume before Monday, global markets could open into a completely different level of uncertainty.
Most investors are staring at stock prices, waiting for the crash to announce itself.
The first warning often shows up in the bond market. And it's already flashing.
This is not a normal risk environment.
Monday could be the turning point. And by the time the panic is obvious, the biggest moves may already be behind you.
I've spent years studying market cycles, liquidity, and major turning points. This setup deserves your full attention.
Follow and turn on notifications if you want to navigate the 2026-2027 cycle.
Save this post. Come back Monday.
A lot of people are going to wish they'd read the warning signs sooner!!

🚨 WALL STREET'S BIGGEST HEDGE FUNDS ARE POSITIONING FOR A MASSIVE STOCK MARKET CRASH.
Goldman Sachs data shows Wall Street's biggest funds are aggressively betting against stocks as fears of a much deeper market crash grow.
The numbers show just how bearish these funds have become.
• Short selling has outpaced long buying by nearly 5 to 1 this month.
• Short leverage has reached the 99th percentile of the past five years.
• Global hedge funds lost 2.9% in one week, while Asia-focused funds plunged 6.8% in the first half of October.
After weeks of heavy selling, hedge funds are still increasing their bets against the market.
With so much money positioned for further declines, even a sudden rebound could trigger a brutal short squeeze and leave major funds facing heavy losses.
But why are some of Wall Street's biggest funds betting so heavily against stocks?
Are they expecting something much worse that the rest of the market hasn't priced in yet?
