About time they stop making movies about Rama, Krishna, Shiva, Durga, Kali etc. No actor can portray them, much less bad faith actors. If you really want it, animation is an option. But even then, proper scholars should be consulted to avoid butchering shAstra.

This manipulated movie in the name of #Ramayana deserves to be avoided by audience and it should be disaster on box-office. Didn't expect this from @malhotra_namit and @niteshtiwari22

Dead Space Remake is pretty good. Gives me Event Horizon vibes so much. The Ishimura is so well-designed.

I would interpret this differently. The shloka says Hari receives offerings from one with "sAmAnya bhakti" -- seeking material desires or kaivalya prApti - by his feet. Whereas, he receives offerings of the jnAni who wants only him, by his head+

The one who does Dana as a " Samanya Bhakta" he gives the fruits of the action through his feet + While for a Bhakta who does the same action through Ekantika Bhakti he gives the fruit of the action through his head. Samanya Bhakti refers to attachment to Bhagavan as just +

He wants to turn them into ekAnta-bhaktAs. To do that, he keeps them absorbed in his lotus feet, which are more mesmerizing than other parts of his body. Does he not suck his own toe as vaTapathrasAyi due to his astonishment as to what makes his feet so sweet for his devotees?+

Whereas, jnAnIs already seek only him. So by taking the offering from the feet to his head, he simply shows he is subservient to them. This explanation shows the greatness of his lotus feet and the fact that he doesn't actually discriminate between any offering based on intent//

In Garuda Purana, there is a shloka: त्यजेद्देशमसद्वृत्तं वासं सोपद्रवं त्यजेत् । त्यजेत्कृपणराजानं मित्रं मायामयं त्यजेत् ॥ [One must abandon a country whose people follow unrighteous conduct, a residence where there are disturbances, a miserly King & a deceitful friend]+

त्यजेत्कृपणराजानं - bhagavAn (the King) who only grants moksha to those deserving of it, can be considered miserly or narrow-minded compared to the AchArya who bestows mukti to all. Thus, the idea of seeing bhagavAn as the means & end can be abandoned in favor of the AchArya+

मित्रं मायामयं त्यजेत् - A bhAgavata or AchArya is मित्रं - who wishes well for others. If they slip from their knowledge by recommending worship of other gods as supreme, they are to be abandoned too.//
