Big changes are taking root in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta!   After decades of land subsidence, last week, construction started on a major restoration project that will bring approximately 2,800 acres of wetlands back to the Delta.   Supported by California's Delta Conservancy and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, the project will restore critical wildlife habitat, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help reverse the sinking of Delta lands - strengthening the health and resilience of this vital ecosystem.   It's a powerful example of how California is putting nature to work to tackle climate change while protecting the communities, places and wildlife that depend on it.   🔗 Learn more at: bit.ly/4zu1sz0 @WadeCrowfoot @mwdh2o @DeltaConservncy

Thank you to our volunteers and the Rio Vista Windsports Association for another successful cleanup in the Delta! Held as part of Coastal Cleanup Day, over 30 volunteers removed trash from a 1.5-mile stretch of Sherman Island at this event. 🙌
