Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen criticized the Finland-Norway call with Vladimir Putin, saying the initiative had not been coordinated with other EU partners. She said Europe must preserve unity and avoid individual diplomatic initiatives. #Europe
🇩🇰 Danish PM criticizes Finnish and Norwegian leaders over Putin phone call: “I don't understand what they hope to achieve”
“I am very skeptical of this independent initiative by Norway and Finland. It was not coordinated with the rest of us. I really don't understand what these two countries think they can achieve this way,” Mette Frederiksen told Denmark's TV 2.
According to Frederiksen, European countries should act together rather than hold separate talks with Moscow.
However, there's an important detail: the call with Putin was coordinated with Ukraine. Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre had previously emphasized that they were speaking on behalf of their own countries, not Europe as a whole.
‼️ JUST IN: Finland's president and Norway's prime minister held a phone call with Putin
The talks were held in consultation with Ukraine, according to the Finnish president's office.
The main goal was to convey the two countries' positions directly to Putin on ending the war and future peace negotiations. The call was also linked to upcoming meetings in Abu Dhabi.
“The discussion was frank and substantive. We are neighbouring countries to Russia. The outcome of this war will have a direct impact on our and the broader European security. Ending the war requires direct discussions,” Finnish President Alexander Stubb said.
The leaders of Finland and Norway emphasized that they would continue supporting Ukraine and called for peace negotiations to resume.
Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre also clarified that they were speaking on behalf of their respective countries, not Europe as a whole.

🇵🇱 Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski:
There is a myth that has been successfully planted in the West that Russia always wins. But things don't always go their way.
They lost the Crimean War. They lost the war against Japan. They emerged from World War I with their tails between their legs.
They lost their invasion of Poland. They lost Afghanistan. And they lost the Cold War. So things can turn out very differently.

Zelensky keeps going at Hegseth: “The artificial and prolonged delays in the delivery of interceptor packages for Patriot and NASAMS systems, which unfortunately have occurred recently, are directly helping Russia achieve the objectives of its terrorist campaign.”
The number of people injured in the Russian strike on a university campus and the surrounding area yesterday evening has risen to 12. Five of them are students and university staff. While emergency services were helping people and dealing with the aftermath of the first strike, the Russians used ballistic missiles again. In total, 16 ballistic missiles were launched overnight. More than 280 drones as well. Tragically, there have been casualties and hits in Kyiv, including on the South Bridge. A serious escalation in Russia’s operation against our logistics. There were also strikes on the Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, Chernihiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Kherson, and Chernivtsi regions. Almost everywhere, Russia’s targets were the energy sector, logistics, and ordinary urban infrastructure.
The artificial and prolonged delays in the delivery of interceptor packages for Patriot and NASAMS systems, which unfortunately have occurred recently, are directly helping Russia achieve the objectives of its terrorist campaign. Every such delay means another Russian strike on one facility or another. Unfortunately, strikes are taking place every day. Russia is constantly taking new steps toward escalation. Pressure on Russia and real support for Ukraine are needed to change the situation. I thank everyone who truly supports our efforts to protect lives and understands the importance of support packages arriving on time. We must bring peace closer and save lives. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine!

“We have been waiting for nearly a month for Mr. Hegseth to sign off on missiles for Patriots and NASAMS.”
I held a coordination call on the situation with weapons supplies from our partners and efforts to restore energy infrastructure following Russian strikes. Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi reported on the work underway in the regions. I thank every repair crew and all energy companies that are fully carrying out their assigned tasks. The work is continuing virtually nonstop, and we are using the equipment reserves we have built up. I expect the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy, and other agencies involved to communicate in a timely and sufficient manner the need to replenish these reserves.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs reported on the supply of air defense interceptors to Ukraine, first and foremost Patriot missiles. We are working on several tracks – with the United States, Europe, and other partners that have stocks of PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles. In particular, we have been waiting for nearly a month for Mr. Hegseth to sign off on missiles for Patriots and NASAMS. I instructed our team to raise this with the American side once again. Conversations with other countries are also ongoing.
We also discussed preparations for the November Ramstein meeting. It is important to speed up the implementation of decisions that have been on the table for some time. Every support package is an opportunity to protect people's lives. Thank you to everyone who is providing real support and, in particular, helping speed up these critically important deliveries.

“Georgia Without Ivanishvili” march.
Tomorrow, October 26, marks 2 years since the Georgian Dream rigged the 2024 Parliamentary elections, and eventually unleashed hell on Georgians.
People keep protesting ever since then, and daily since November 28, 2024 (it’s Day 697 today).
Two important points:
It's crystal clear that dissatisfaction grows increasingly, but there needs to be a more tangible power to accumulate and channel the sentiments politically;
(In this regard, it is noteworthy that today's big rally was announced by the Opposition Alliance formed in March. The Alliance aims for an even bigger rally on November 28, the two-year anniversary of the Georgian Dream's suspension of EU integration, daily protests, and torture of protesters);
The refusal of the Georgian public and opposition to grant legitimacy to the Georgian Dream, which was achieved through non-cooperation, boycotts, and institutional isolation, might eventually prove decisive in the Georgian people's fight for freedom, in terms of international law and geopolitical camps in Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Elon Musk claims that Ukraine allegedly violated Starlink's terms of use and used the system on combat drones.
As someone who was inside the process at the Ministry of Defense, I can say with certainty that this is not true.
In February of this year, whitelists were introduced. Stationary terminals could be registered by both military personnel and civilians.
But for any satellite terminal to work while on the move, it had to be added to a special list and connected to the military Starshield system. Otherwise, no satellite communication terminals in Ukraine would work.
In other words, using civilian Starlink for drone missions was technically impossible. All drone missions that required satellite communication could only be carried out using Starshield.
We are very grateful to the United States and SpaceX for access to critically important satellite communications. Ukraine did not violate the terms of use.

This is more evidence for Congress, which can easily determine if Ukraine violated any terms of service. It also constitutes a tacit admission by Musk that he played a part — if not the central role — in throttling Starlink.

End of story -- it is vitally and strategically imperative for Europe and the entire free world to take the most decisive steps to accelerate the development of their own alternative to Starlink.
Otherwise, this profoundly hypocritical, infantile, walking embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger effect, drunk on his own sense of limitless power, impunity, and imagined moral superiority, will bring the entire free world to ruin -- all for the sake of the ketamine-fueled cockroaches in his head.

The fact that no one on the American side wanted to claim "credit" for turning it off meant it was always going to be restored. But the damage done is unforgivable and I hope this doesn't mean the end of formal inquiries into what happened.
Monitoring systems of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence have officially confirmed the restoration of Starlink/Starshield operational speeds, with connectivity remaining stable at speeds exceeding 400 kph.
We are grateful to everyone who helped restore the service and for your important contribution to saving Ukrainian lives.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence will continue monitoring performance, as reliable Starlink/Starshield connectivity plays a critical role in intercepting Russian drones and protecting Ukrainian lives.

In the Kherson region, a russian drone dropped explosives on a man walking his dog. The dog was killed instantly. The man’s fate is still unknown.
russian troops didn’t just attack a defenseless civilian. They filmed it and shared the footage online themselves. Deliberately targeting civilians is a war crime, and russia is committing it openly, in front of the whole world.

No, @elonmusk, the U.S. stopped funding Ukraine last year. In fact, U.S. companies make money on American weapons for which we Europeans pay.
The more you meddle in our politics and the more you play politics with your products, the more you damage your brand.
Replying to @elonmusk
And some of that US taxpayer money comes back through multiple laundry machines to fund political campaigns in America, which is why you see some politicians caring more about Ukraine than America!

As I said several times, little by little, things that would have been unacceptable yesterday become the new normal today.
First, we saw more drones entering or crashing in Moldova and Romania. Then we got used to almost daily air alerts, sometimes three or four in a single day in Poland. Now we are dealing with commercial ships being attacked in the Black Sea, with people killed, injured and missing.
And every time, the same argument comes up: "You’re not going to war over a drone" or "You’re not going to war over a ship." Of course, nobody wants a war. But this is also how hybrid warfare works: Governments are trapped between two pressures. If they act, people accuse them of risking a wider war. If they don’t, people ask how much more they are willing to tolerate. Every decision is a "problem"
But while everyone debates whether each incident justifies a response, the overall situation keeps escalating. And eventually, what was once considered an unacceptable provocation becomes something we have learned to live with. Until the next escalation pushes the limits even further.
BREAKING: 🇷🇴 Another commercial vessel has been struck by a drone and sunk in the Black Sea, approximately 13 nautical miles off Constanța, Romania.
The vessel, KHORYV (IMO 8138712), was sailing under the flag of the Comoros Islands from Ereğli, Türkiye, to Sulina, Romania, carrying ferrous materials.
According to Romania’s Naval Authority, 13 crew members were on board: 10 Ukrainian nationals and three Azerbaijani nationals. Ministry of Health, report one confirmed death, three crew members missing and nine injured.
The vessel reportedly capsized and sank following the impact. Nine crew members were reportedly rescued from the water by another commercial vessel nearby.
Romanian authorities have launched a major search-and-rescue operation, deploying Border Police vessels and the Artemis, operated by Romania’s Agency for Saving Human Life at Sea (ARSVOM).
A Black Hawk helicopter was also requested, but heavy rain and adverse weather conditions prevented it from reaching the scene.
More updates to follow.
