BlockThreat - Week 40, 2026 This week in blockchain security: 8 exploits, a $3.8M hack that came back in full within a day, a Wasm sandbox escape, and a new open-weights model built for security research.

Locked in today, Went through the remaining points, finalized my findings, and finally wrapped up the audit. First Rust/Solana audit officially wrapped up 🦀 #ABF2026 #Rust #Solana
Sunday. Taking the usual breather today Back to Rust and auditing tomorrow. 🦀 #ABF2026 #Rust #Solana

Results: I had a past audit to compare my findings against, so I could actually see how I did after finishing everything. 3/5 Highs 3/4 Mediums Pretty good imo, especially considering this was my first proper run through a Rust codebase. #ABF2026 #Rust #Solana

Today I went back through the points I had tagged during the audit and dug deeper into them. Well since I skipped the testing chapter and went straight into a firstflight, I had to get some help generating them. I’ll go back and properly learn testing though.

Today was mostly about putting the pieces together. Went through the transfer module & revisited the liquidity and swap modules. I’m getting to the point where I know this codebase pretty well. Also found a couple of potential bugs👀 Tomorrow, full audit mode. #ABF2026 #Rust

Also invalidated a couple of bugs I thought were legit. Its cool applying the same auditor mindset, but in a different environment, Probably wrapping this audit up tomorrow🦀 #ABF2026 #Rust #Solana

Today was swap operations.Spent today going through the swap operations in the Solana AMM. Also realizing I'm getting faste with time at understanding Rust as I go through this codebase😁 Definitely not as foreign as it was when I first opened it. #ABF2026 #Rust #Solana

Reported a confirmed high-severity vulnerability to @Conflux_Network in May. Months later, still no bounty payment and barely any meaningful communication. This is how responsible security researchers are treated.

Spent today digging through the Solana AMM I picked up yesterday. The Rust syntax and some of the patterns I'm still getting used to though😂 Still early, but it's interesting seeing how the same audit process translates to a different language. #ABF2026 #Rust #Solana

Got bored of studying Rust 😂 I think I’ve got the fundamentals down, so time to see how I handle an actual Rust codebase. Same auditor mindset, different language. Picked up a Solana AMM for my first First Flight. #ABF2026 #Solana #Rust

Day 19 of learning Rust 🦀 This week we're getting into testing. Today I went through Rust's built-in testing stuff, mainly #[test], assert!, assert_eq! and assert_ne!. You write the test, run cargo test, and Rust tells you what passed and what didn't. #ABF2026 #Rust #Solana

Sunday breather today. Taking the day off, recharging, and coming back tomorrow with fresh energy. Normal Rusty operations resume tomorrow 🫡 #ABF2026 #Rust #Solana

Day 18 of learning Rust 🦀 Today was about traits. The easiest way I understand them so far is as a way of defining shared behavior. Different types can implement the same trait, as long as they provide the behavior the trait requires. #ABF2026 #Rust #Solana

Day 17 of learning Rust 🦀 Today was about generics. The basic idea is pretty straightforward: instead of writing the same code multiple times for different types, you can write it once using a generic type like T. #ABF2026 #Rust #Solana

E.g, instead of caring about what a type is, you can care about what it can do. If multiple types implement the same trait, you can work with all of them through that shared behavior. Traits can also have default implementations, so a type doesn't have to define from scratch.

And just like generics, traits can also be used to put constraints on types. So instead of saying: "This function works with any type." You can say: "This function works with any type that implements this trait."
