He could have offered to take her there but he rather not. After all, she needed to learn to depend on herself to a point. A guide could only--

Settling down next to her, “I sleep but never on land. Also, I do not need as much sleep as a mortal. Do you? That could be important for the--
[@ADarkHalfling] --pace of our journey. Need to know if we will need to stop more than I am used to.”
As he studied her, “And what of your father? Will he be worried about you being gone? We will be gone for a long time.”

Smiling, “That is good to know. Something tells me that you are more useful that either of us know yet. Just remember that when one exposes the roots, other things happen to be there as well. I am sure there will be plenty of surprises.--

Because she’s going to have plenty along the way. That was something he did not need to be a seer to understand. It was how these journeys tens to be.
