A passenger cruise ship collided with a cargo vessel at the German port of Bremerhaven. The incident occurred on Sunday, October 25, 2026, as the *Mein Schiff 3* (operated by TUI Cruises) was beginning its departure maneuver from the Columbuskaje pier amid strong gusts of wind. The affected container ship sustained a tear approximately 10 meters long in its hull; no injuries were reported, and there was no water ingress on either of the vessels involved. The cruise ship, which was carrying over 2,400 passengers and nearly 900 crew members, suffered damage to several lifeboats and returned to the pier; consequently, its scheduled voyage to the Canary Islands has been suspended or delayed while the damage is assessed.
