One of the very first decisions I made in this campaign was choosing retired Colonel George Washington Markert, USMC, as my Lieutenant Governor. And I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Leadership is not about one person. It’s about surrounding yourself with men and women of integrity, courage, wisdom, and a genuine heart to serve others. George embodies those qualities, and his lifetime of service to our country speaks for itself. From day one, I’ve said that Colorado deserves leadership that puts people before politics. That means building a team committed to restoring Affordability, Safety, and Accountability to our great state. I know George shares that vision, and I couldn’t ask for a better man to stand beside me in that mission. It has been an absolute honor serving alongside George throughout this campaign. We’ve traveled this state, listened to Coloradans, and witnessed firsthand the hope people have for a better future for their families and generations to come. And I look forward to serving alongside him as Governor and Lieutenant Governor for the next four years. Colorado, we are ready to lead. Not for a title, not for power, but for YOU. Yesterday was another incredible day on the campaign trail! I woke up in Montrose on the Western Slope, flew home this morning, and kept going until around midnight. We are going nonstop! Our team is working nearly around the clock. The calls, emails, and messages are pouring in, and the excitement across Colorado is something special. ABC News Channel 7 sat down with me for an in-depth interview, and we’re seeing firsthand what happens when Coloradans decide they want a change from politics as usual. At the end of day we held a private Zoom meeting with county GOP chairs to discuss getting out the vote and making sure voters have the information they need. Every ballot matters.
