Let him rot.
Pierre LeBrun - Aux 4 coins de la LNH (French Show) - Larkin | According to my sources, Shawn Horcoff reached out to Dylan Larkin’s agents—Pat Brisson and Matt Williams—in the last few days to say, “I’ve tried everything with the 10 teams on your list, but I haven’t been able to find a trade that makes sense for us, the Detroit Red Wings. Please, would it be possible to add some other teams to the list?” [...] According to my sources, Pat Brisson’s response to the Red Wings—again, in the last few days—was “no.” “We’ve already given you ten teams. You’re capable of making a trade with those ten teams.” - 11/3 #LGRW #NHL
#LGRW. Great road win. Finnie is a stud.
1. I’m tired
2. The new mgr SEEMS to be trying
However @LincolnOfTroy has had my car since last Monday (yes, again stemming from July) without even an update for me.
I’m not hot about it b/c the loaner is nice but come on with this already. @LincolnMotorCo
Can’t make it up.

As it stands, under the currently applicable NHL/NHLPA rules, #Larkin's trade demand is a request, not a legal command. His no-trade clause gives him veto power over certain trades, not the power to require one. Unless #Detroit has breached a specific obligation, he has no demonstrated legal mechanism to compel a trade or recover salary withheld during a valid suspension.
In this standoff, Detroit holds the stronger contractual hand.
#LGRW
My “working theory” is Shawn Horcoff’s job is to get the best return for the @DetroitRedWings and that is what he is going to do. Brisson/Larkin can deem w/e the hell they want.
I’m pissed at the org still but Shawn, being a good steward to the logo sticking to his guns. #LGRW
Maybe some wacko wild fans should see this. You are over a barrel here, not us. 71 under contract for 4 more years. “Oh but the league Repu…” you are out of options. Pay the bounty or get ready to watch Quinn in Jersey. #LGRW
Anthony Di Marco - Larkin- #mnwild | Checking in with an Eastern Conference executive to get a feel for a league feel on the matter, DFO was told that the Wild “have to win now” and that they will have to lose a deal to acquire Larkin. In a win-now window, the executive went on the say that the Wild are “out of options” and that any team trading with them should “win the deal by a mile.” #LGRW #NHL

One thing I’ve never understood in golf whether it’s 10 handicaps or in the Ryder Cup… why does anyone ever complain about not being given a putt.
If it’s easy enough of a putt to complain about it, then it should be easy enough to go knock in and move on
Yes I would entertain that. Martone is a throwback power forward, a young Brendan Shanahan IMO
Re. Edvinsson: PHI has kept tabs on him but still unclear what DET wants in return.
Sources from other teams have said DET has been "unrealistic" in their asking prices; does that mean Martone is the price from PHI?
Would you entertain 94 for Edvinsson?
@DailyFaceoff
Alex DeBrincat said the Red Wings are going to "move forward" after Dylan Larkin's exit.
"I think we can rally around the adversity we've faced so far. I don't think it's necessarily been easy, but we've come together as a group and decided we're gonna stick up for each other, play for each other every day and come to the rink, work hard."
Impressed with the maturity of our group right now. Hard to be a pro and do your job every single day when there is chaos all around you. They’ll be a better group for it but I’m sure it’s an unpleasant situation. Full credit to Todd, 53, 23 and 93. #LGRW
“This is us. We're going to do this together.”
Moritz Seider had a message for the Red Wings after they won on the same day Dylan Larkin stayed home.
The access inside the Red Wings locker room this year has been way more apparent.

Still can't get over Larkin saying he wanted to "earn my teammates' trust again" and then quitting on them (again) 10 games into the season.
There's lip service, and there's whatever that was.

The mf has one even strength goal in March
I'm not gonna be a full on Yzerman apologist but let's not act like this guy was Wayne Gretzky
Organization with the longest playoff drought in the NHL, fired its long time GM after years of failing to properly rebuild and has had 6 months to trade a player who asked out.
“We are disappointed by his decisions given his obligations to the organization”
Not sure that’s really the spin to go with here..
He could say the exact same and has said very similar about the red wings
Support this. Organization has its shortfalls but 71s list, March flops, and lack of accountability is a joke. He’s a coward, I hope they hold him past Thanksgiving. Make someone on his “list” feel urgency, he’s under contract. Get the best deal PERIOD.

It's not up to his agency to decide what is "close" for the team. There is no pressure. Dude can sit for 4 years if that's his choice.
#LGRW
I could argue losing the trust of the other 22 guys in the room is just as detrimental to the reputation, guys like 23/53/93 all signed long term, the are “owed” more then 71. I have my opinions on a “retool” but mn fans are lashing out because they can’t get what they want.
Welcome to the show kid.
We’ll set you up for success by starting you the last game of a west coast trip against 2 of the best offensive players on planet earth.
Baptism by fire I suppose. Hope he plays great tho. #LGRW
Per @DetroitRedWings head coach Todd McLellan, Michal Postava will make his first NHL start in net tonight against the Edmonton Oilers. #LGRW
