I’ve been trying to work out why so many podcasters have suddenly gone into full attack mode over the whole @leahfiles situation. Something doesn’t add up. Before @RealCandaceO got involved, a lot of these same podcasters were backing Leah. I know this because I used to follow them and supported their work Then CO added herself into the conversation, and the backpedalling started. Was it genuine naivety? Were they hoping for a repost or a nod of approval from Candace? Or were they just scared to go against the crowd? Who knows 🤷🏽‍♀️ Whatever the reason, they dropped their usual morals and standards and joined the pile-on. To be clear, Leah might well be dishonest. I don’t know. I’m not here to defend her blindly. What I can’t understand is why this particular situation has provoked so much anger, hostility and personal abuse. I don’t like bullies full stop. For a whole year, we watched CO get hammered by TPUSA and ZioRangers relentlessly. She faced racial insults, accusations of being a witch, a demon and practically every name under the sun. And yet, she mostly took it in her stride. She laughed things off, brushed people aside and even called them “Blakey.” I genuinely admired her and aspired to be like her. But with Leah, someone who was supposedly on her side, that restraint somehow seems to have vanish. The gloves came off. And the level of personal hostility being directed at someone who was supposedly an ally is something we rarely saw even towards her most vicious opponents. Why? Here’s my theory. I think CO is angry because she knows that this time, the backlash is coming from people who genuinely supported her. Previously, criticism could be dismissed as bots, paid shills or coordinated attacks from TPUSA. Whether those claims were true or not, they made it easier to disregard the outrage. But THIS time, it’s her OWN audience. People who followed her, defended her and believed in what she was doing. I was one of those And I suspect that stings far more than anything her usual critics could say. Because you can brush off an enemy. You can label a critic a hater. But it’s much harder to dismiss your own supporters when they start asking uncomfortable questions. Now we are analysing her with more scrutiny and finding inconsistencies in her words and actions And I think the podcasters defending her are facing something equally uncomfortable. They KNOW that we are NOT bots. We’re NOT paid operatives. We’re not part of some coordinated smear campaign. We’re real people. Our outrage is real. Our questions are genuine. And we’re paying attention. And they know they have EXPOSED themselves. We’ve watched principles get abandoned, narratives shift and people who claim to value independent thinking fall into line the moment someone influential takes a position. And now, I suspect, they NEED Leah to be the villain. Because if Leah isn’t the villain, or at least isn’t nearly as terrible as they’re making her out to be, then how do they justify the extraordinary lengths they’ve gone to in defending CO? The harder they attack Leah, the more it looks like they’re trying to justify their own behaviour rather than establish the truth. And perhaps that’s what this whole controversy has really exposed. Maybe the biggest revelation from this controversy isn’t who Leah really is. It's what we've discovered about the people who claim to expose everyone else's lies.
