I canβt tell you how good it feels to get away from people / environments who truly donβt mean you no well but they dress it up like they do. π€π½β¨

The more spiritual you become, the harder it gets to explain what you are feeling, because it's not in words, it's in energy.

Mc Lyte on being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside Queen Latifah and Wu-Tang Clan this year and becoming one of only 18 hip-hop artists in Rock Hall history to receive the honor
βIt means everything. The one thing as an MC that Iβve learned to appreciate is the love and adoration from people who are in the business, really know what it is that we go through daily, what it means to still stand after 40 years and still do what it is that I love to do and make a living from it. Itβs so great. All I could think about was, βWow, it must have been a room full of folks who decided that the list of hip-hop contributors were Queen Latifah, Wu-Tang and MC Lyte.ββ
