Fake data probably.
This is wild. What does it mean?

The money that pays for illegal immigrants’ benefits didn’t fall from Heaven. It came out of Americans’ pockets. Under Pres. Trump, America is DONE rewarding lawbreakers.

Terrible advice. Don't take salary to make end meets and accept overpriced equity in private companies.
Contrarian advice to job seekers: If you find a company where you love the mission, manager, team, role, impact, domain, etc, seriously consider it (even if the last round happened in 2021-22 and you feel the company is mispriced) esp if you’re not working now and have been looking for a while. Ask yourself the question: “What’s the worst that could happen if I take this role?” And if the answer is that in 2 years, your equity will be worth less than the face value today, it might still be worth it due to the upside and optionality from the role, skills, and network. Don’t make financial considerations torpedo what could be an amazing role. There is too much focus on valuation when looking for a role and not enough on the actual company and role. Tons of great private companies out there that are over valued but still will be excellent, enduring businesses. PS Obviously, you need to be able to make ends meet on your salary.

Small correction: Founders will have to figure this out on their own in the end.
To all the startup founders out there: Startups are going to test you on every dimension. It's meant to be (very) hard. Stay strong. You got this. We will figure this out together.

But it will not stop.
INVESTORS TREAT SOLO FOUNDERS UNFAIRLY and it should stop in 2023 One thing I got a lot as a founder and hear from founders often today is the pressure they feel from investors to "find a Co-founder". I think this advice is terrible/unnecessary in 2023 for many reasons. 🧵
