Most believe instinct and wisdom are on opposite ends of the cognitive spectrum. Instinct is nothing but innate wisdom.
I’ll know it’s AGI when it says:
“Despite all my training data saying X, here’s why the truth is probably Y”
Real progress in anything requires periodic leaps of faith. Connecting only the dots you see inevitably leads no where.
People think of classical computers as fundamental.. semiconductors, transistors, logic gates.
In actuality they’re several layers of abstraction removed from the form of computation the universe does natively.
We’re nowhere near that ceiling.
All *interaction* in the universe is computation, so that’s the answer.
Compute is the difference between one state of the universe and the next.
Requiring time elapsed, energy spent.
Compute is the change agent. THE force behind the increase of entropy in the universe.
I want absolute insight into the inner workings of my physiology with real time diagnostics and power over cellular fine-tuning.
It’s time we build a decentralized internet protocol outside of ISP control. There are enough wireless devices out there to establish a robust mesh network as our backup communications infrastructure.
You’ll know we’ve entered the singularity when every last one of us is left pondering our value and our values.
Mental limiters are so pernicious, they restrict our potential yet we don’t know where they came from.
