She literally explained how to rewire your brain for consistency.
AI has made it very easy to get code that works. it hasn't made it any easier to understand why it works, and that gap is where the pain shows up later.
I still let it write a lot for me. but when something breaks and the model keeps going in circles with the same fix, what gets you out is the slow fundamentals you picked up the hard way. reading docs, tracing the request, console.log everywhere.
So i don't see those years of doing it the slow way as wasted anymore
Lately I've learnt that you have to fight to earn your place in this life. Basically we just came to this world to fight and then die again.
Last day of october. I didn't finish half of what i planned this month but i'm proud of the little wins
Progress is way more boring up close than it looks on this app
The longer i write code the less i care about which framework is "winning" and the devs i respect most just build with what they know well, ship it, and fix things as real users show up
Being self-taught means a big chunk of what i know came from reading error messages late at night. I used to feel like that made me less of a real engineer.
These days i think it's one of the most honest ways to learn anything
Social media really makes it look like everyone else has their life sorted out at 25. What you donβt see are the losses, the debts and the years of trial and error behind those screenshots. Comparing your chapter 1 to someoneβs highlight reel will only frustrate you.
I hate how social media makes us forget that wealth has stages. It's normal to start with nothing invested, to make mistakes with your first money, and yes, it's even normal to lose money on your first investment. These are lessons almost everyone pays for.
Some people inherit assets or start investing early because someone taught them. Others only learn about compound interest at 30 and that's perfectly okay. The person who started late but stayed consistent will beat the person who started early and quit. Stop comparing your portfolio to someone's screenshot. Start where you are, with what you have, and let time do what it does.
Upwork isnβt totally dead, itβs just overcrowded. Whatβs working better for me now is direct outreach. LinkedIn, cold emails, even walking into local businesses. Some of my best clients never came through any platform.

AI can make producing code easier without making understanding code easier.
The teacher believes that the important skill for the next generation of developers is not simply knowing how to ask AI for code, but knowing enough to question, inspect, test, and improve what AI produces.
For someone learning software engineering, this means you should learn to use AI as a coding assistant while still understanding the code it generates.
You do not need to memorise every line of syntax, but you should understand the fundamentals well enough to recognise when a solution is wrong.
Don't just learn how to make AI build things. Learn how to tell whether what AI built is worth trusting.
