It's #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek 🌟
Guide Abbie is autistic and as part of her campaigning badge, she's recorded a presentation on how to help children who are autistic. Here are her top tips:
🌟 Be patient
🌟 Invite everyone to join in
🌟 Always offer a friendly smile
ALT A dark blue background with light blue circle. Inside the circle, text reads 'Some people think I'm weird but I know it's ok to be different. It would be really boring if everyone was the same. Abbie, Guide'. Around the circle are illustrations of a camera, a compass and a campfire.
ALT A dark blue background covered in stars. The stars have stripes of coral, blue, light blue, green and dark blue. In the foreground is Abbie - a young girl wearing glasses, a woolly hat and a Guide uniform. She's holding a woven patch with the word 'campaigning' on it.
Really looking forward to this event and to getting acquainted with the school community! 🤩Thanks @Dionne_Gordon9 for the invite :)
Not long to go now! Over 40 partners signed up! A form will go out to Parents/Carers tomorrow! This event will be combined with a curry night - free to all in attendance! See you there! #believeinbetter 💙⭐️ @Dionne_Gordon9 @IrvineRoyalFF
