That’ll do it from The Rock! The #NJDevils beat the Kings 3-1 to win their third straight and finish the sweep of the homestand.
Their next game is Tuesday in Dallas, the start of a three game road trip.
Arseny Gritsyuk ices the game into the empty net with just over a minute to play in the third period!! His fifth straight game with a goal makes it 3-1 #NJDevils.
The Kings thought for a moment that they had tied the game, but the goal was immediately waived off for being deflected in with a high stick. #NJDevils stay in front 2-1 for now.
Brett Pesce gives the #NJDevils the lead!! His first of the season was a nice curl and drag to make it 2-1.
That’ll do it for the second period at The Rock. It was a strong one for the #NJDevils who were able to escape tied against the Kings after a late Mantha goal. Shots are 20-7 Devils.
Anthony Mantha strikes back! His third of the year and second game in a row with a goal! #NJDevils are tied 1-1 with the Kings with under a minute left in the period.
After the #NJDevils failed to capitalize on the power play, Scott Laughton comes out of the box and scored almost immediately. The Kings lead 1-0 late in the second.
The #NJDevils and Kings are scoreless after one.
Slower start for the Devils than we’ve grown accustomed to this year, but they picked it up as the period went on.
Shots are 5-4 NJ.
The #NJDevils and LA Kings are six minutes in at the Prudential Center.
Devils with an early successful kill, keeping the score 0-0.
Brenden Dillon back in the lineup for Chisholm. Lombardi replaces the traded Mercer.
Preview: After the big trade yesterday, the #NJDevils ready for an afternoon game against Los Angeles.
