AUTHENTICITY 🗣️ Those are not fake tears... This video epitomizes what I've said before about Will Wade, and how ridiculously misleading the media and/or pundits can be when speaking about him or his character. Will Wade is an authentic human being. He has a deep love for his players, coaching staff, McNeese, and the Lake Charles community, and they all love him back.
Life lesson - Don't believe everything you read... Especially from the outside noise. The ones in our huddles and locker room know what we've been about since day one.
Love you coach 🫶
"Sometimes you. Sometimes Me. Always Us."
Players and coaches were emotional after Will Wade spoke with McNeese one final time 🥺😢
Wade is taking the HC job at NC State next season xitter.cf/BleacherReport/status/…

When you are struggling, remember this…
‘Rock bottom can also be the perfect foundation on which to build.’ 🪨
When I was 17 years old, I hit rock bottom... My father was battling Lou Gehrig's disease, better known as ALS. I didn't understand any of it... He was my hero... Colonel in the Army, Ranger, Airborne... All-American type of human being... I battled with questions like... Why did this have to happen to him? It crushed me... I started down a dark and lonely path. I developed a 'victim's mindset' and started acting out... And eventually, I was kicked out of my house and school. I became homeless, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me... I had to go through it, in order to get to it...
To me, these championship rings aren't my triumphs... They are my scars... They remind me where I came from and what I went through. Basketball saved my life at a time that I needed it the most, and because of that, I give everything that I have, and everything that I am, back to it. I won't ever cheat it, because it's never cheated me... That's what makes the game so special... What you put into it, is what you get out of it...
I still battle those demons from my past every day... And I've been chasing my Dad's legacy ever since, knowing that I'll never reach it... But I promise you, I'll die trying.
On to the next... ✂️🎟️💍
